| For curiosity's sake, what's the anime that you were so excited and hyped for but let you down the most after you completed it? Mine would personally be Wolf Children (movie) and you can even say Violet Evergarden (anime). I have way more but I'll just use these as examples. |
| Boruto due to being unable to move for a while I watched the entire Naruto franchise in 2 weeks and really liked it but then I started watching boruto and it wasn't just a letdown it made meh violently angry. |

| In order to be disappointed, you need to be highly anticipated good things from the show from the beginning. So it has to be a series you like it alot initially, and it turns shit afterward. In that case, Ancient Magus Bride and Kino's Journey 2017. Also to a lesser extent, Dangan Ronpa 3 anime and No. 6. |

| I haven't seen a ton of anime, but mirai nikki was pretty disappointing. The last few diaries just felt so...lame. It felt like pretty lazy writing. Speaking of lazy writing I wasnt a fan of the out-of-left field plot device which gave it an underwhelming ending. When it started I thought it was going to be great, and I still enjoyed it, but it really fell apart about 2/3 of the way through |

| hmmmmm hard to pick between Shingeki no Bahamut Virgin Soul and Legend of the Galactic Heroes since I was hyped watching both since I had watched the prequels to both and considered them really good but LOTGH is much longer so I probably would say it was more disappoint as a whole I guess |

| Your Lie In April was a garbage not from the first ep but almost from the start so I guess it doesn't count and in that case I'll go with Gyakusatsu Kikan and Shisha no Teikoku. Both of these movies started nice but as time passed, became worse and worse, it's not like they were completely bad though. The main issue I had with them were missing informations. The whole story in both of them would make more sense if they were TVs or whatever else with more screentime. Not sure about Shisha but I talked about Gyakusatsu with someone and was told that novel did a lot better job at telling the story. Made me wonder why couldn't they edit the plot so that it suits the time they had to show it. Was it because of production costs? Bad directing? Sometimes you gonna change the ending when it comes to adaptations, skip some events and stuff but what these 2 movies did was a real mess. |

| I had many disappointments watching anime. The latest one was Fate/Extra anime. The story is a mess, the fights ranged from bad to slightly above average (except the first one, who was legit cool) and the execution was a disaster. While not outright terrible, it wasn't what I expected at all. |

| My most disappointing anime is Magical Girl Raising Project, it looked so promising with it being magical girls in a battle royal setting, but it all felt too rushed and ultimately I only enjoyed some of the kills. It didn't help that I watched it just after Madoka Magica (one of my favorites). As for "mainstream" anime, that prize would go to: |

I hate how much potential it had and fucked it up. But there's more disappointing still. I had high hopes and thought Psycho-Pass would be deep and thought-provoking. What the fuck did I watch? I need my time back but I can't. Why is it so popular? It's shit through and through. My no-drop policy made me stay until the final episode of season 1 and I had hopes that it would get better. It didn't. |
| Definitely Eden of the East. Solely because as I was watching I was actually considering it to be my potential favorite anime of all time, I loved it so much. But then the series ended and I said "Well okay, I still have 2 movies which will conclude everything for me and make this an easy top 5 all time, all I need is a decent ending." And that never came in my opinion. |
