| Quite a few people are mentioning you not watching enough anime, despite the fact you've definitely watched quite a few. There's some there that definitely don't fall within the "friendship theme", whatever you define it as. I'm pretty sure you're just unintentionally only recalling those anime containing these themes because it fits your hypothesis, then forgetting about the rest. I'd recommend you a few anime, but geez -19.2% affinity. We disagree on just about everything EXCEPT purely/mainly comedy anime. For the love of god, @rebornnora go watch Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. |

| No, friendship is the foundation of good idol anime. Idol anime requires chemistry which requires friendship at the very least, just look at Idol Time Pripara and Aikatsu Friends. |

| How do you remove friendship from a narration that implies opening up or experiencing something with people? It's a basic narrative and it is the basis for a lot of relationships, that's why you see it so often. |

| Hmm, the only time I was conscious about the friendship thingy is Fairy Tail but even then, I didn't mind until I started reading complaints on other sites. So I don't think friendship is a repetitive trope and there are more tropes out there that I find more irritating than it. Other types of relationship could be great to explore but bear in mind that any kinds of positive relationship have to stem from the basis of friendship. And this is personal but I find it heartwarming to see characters having fun with their friends, it's something that'll get me attached to them even more. |

| I hate it, the things one can do with just the power of friendship in anime like fairy tail and other Shounens are highly exaggerated, there has to be at least some realism for it to make sense. |
