| Dear friends, my wonderful connoisseur compatriots, As one can tell from the sidebar, our homely club was created just a little over three years ago. It's been an arduous three years, one that has brought both great joy and sadness to my life. Unfortunately, I think in recent times, the call of the real world, that sickening punch of reality, has taken its toll on me. It's no secret to anyone that I have an extremely burdened "currently watching" list, but what you might not know is that for years now, I've struggled to maintain a job, finish a degree, in between bouts of crushing illness and personal turmoil. So I've thought about it a bit. I've come to the realization that I need to start cleaving responsibilities out of my life to make way for other things. Perhaps responsibilities over this club may not seem like much, but you'd be surprised how busy one can gets when I need to browse the forums for astute and promising users or have to respond to private messages saying we should "stick a hard thick censor into fst" for excessive toxicity. Over time, it takes a toll on one's already weighed down soul. So I've come to a decision. I am leaving MAL, effective immediately. Of course I'll still watch anime, but I think my post count says it all. I am simply too tied to the site and that is making a dent in my real world endeavours. As such, my close confidante Zergneedsfood will be taking over as admin. Good luck to you all, and please tag those spoilers you weebs <3 |
