Hi.

Was just wondering if anyone knows some good traveling anime (aka not time travel or traveling to another world, although to another world CAN be ok if it's good and explores a lot).

I simply find a lot of anime skipping this part (especially newer ones which are packed all into 12 episodes, which causes them to ignore this completely).

Some examples of what I mean: One piece (early on, nowadays it's just 1 action sequence after another), Spice and Wolf (one of the best traveling anime I've seen), Log Horizon (one of those "to another world can be ok if it's good"). Heck, even HxH 2011 has some nice traveling and exploring different areas.

Anyway, thanks beforehand for any suggestions and have a wonderful day.

Sora yori mo Tooi Basho : This one is the best fit. It's about a group of school girls which eventually become friends, while committing to the plan of exploring the south pole. In depth, realistic, a lot of travel scenes, great character development. It's moe though. I think thats a plus, others dont. It's up to you :)

Furthermore it's quite common in the adventure fantasy genre, if that satisfies your needs: (All of those are top notch in many ways)
Seirei no Moribito
Akatsuki no Yona
Rokka no Yuusha
Alderamin on the Sky

Canaan - has quite some traveling atmosphere and is more of a modern age thriller

Coppelion - Sightseeing in a radioactive contaminated tokyo? It is more some kind of rescue action, yet it involves a lot of exploring. I'd recommend it in general as a quite underrated show.

Tokyo Magnitude - Not sure if this fits, its basically a heavy hitter among the dramas and the "traveling" is basically making a way through Tokyo after an earthquake. But the traveling and exploring of an area hit by a natural disaster is quite detailed and in depth.
