I decided to rewatch the anime after remembering how much I liked it the first time I’ve seen it many years ago, and I noticed that the openings were missing from the episodes. Why is that? I went to kissanime, 9anime, and neither of them had episodes with the openings and endings. I tried looking it up and found nothing about it.

KA and 9anime tend to cut out the opening and endings sometimes, idk why.

Crunchyroll still has them ;) ;)

What I would guess is that those bootleg streaming sites have made the rather questionable decision (at least for this show) to replace their lower-quality re-encodes of TV-rips with lower-quality re-encodes of Blu-Ray rips. Judging by the font style on KA, they used Coalgirls' BD-rips. For Nisekoi and many others, Coalgirls used .mkv segment linking. In that format, instead of having the OP and ED included in each episode, they're encoded as separate files that get automatically called up and played at the proper times, as long as they're in the same folder. In this way, you can save an amount of file size equivalent to ([OP Size] + [ED Size]) * ([Number of times OP/ED are used] - 1). However, KA and other sites just took the main [Coalgirls]_Nisekoi_##.mkv files and recompressed them for their site, without (as is generally possible) re-adding the OP/ED back into the episodes. They could've also just added the OP/ED as separate videos for anyone who wished to watch them, but they didn't.

So if you want the full episodes with OP/ED, you can either:
* Watch on CR
* Download the TV version from HorribleSubs or a fan-official-sub-editing group like EveTaku, Commie, or FFF.
* DL the original Coalgirls files or a different Blu-Ray version, if you want to see Nisekoi with more censorship and fewer background details.

I'll Gotta say that the TV vr is my best watching experience than watching the blue ray vr They completely removed the Op/Ed which is kinda sucks, I mean why did they excluded it that's one of the reason why I love Nisekoi and don't forget the censorship too the blue ray vr got more Censorship for some reason.Well anyways I Highly recommend TV vr.
