| Got a grand total of one card, from my sister. My dad forgot to post his in time and just never got round to sending it and my mum forgot to buy one altogether. Was going to go to a restaurant and see a movie with family but it decided to snow heavily the night before (it never snows in England) and we couldn't go anywhere. Spent the day sat doing nothing like every other day. My only non-perishable present was a birthday doodle from Google. Best 25th ever! |

| Hmmm, I got messages from my friends and some of my parents came in person to wish me happy birthday. I had a little party to the ones that came to my house, just food and food. I got a bunch of presents, including a beautiful mug of Star Wars, a serie that I don't like yey. It was quite great, though I did miss someone who couldn't be here on the day. |

| Don't really do anything memorable... If I remember correctly, didn't do anything except have dinner. Got a few friends message me happy birthday, family on facebook posting on my profile happy birthday (only time I go on facebook pretty much. to go in and like their comments to show acknowledgement), got the usual few birthday cards and I think that's about it. Oh, my mom gave me some 'mommy coupons'. (Which was something new) This coupon is redeemable for one dinner, this one is redeemable for one game purchase, this one is redeemable for one picnic, etc. I only used one, one for a haircut because I didn't feel like cutting my hair myself at the time. I don't make anything of my birthday anymore, don't really care. Last year was better though I believe, the year before I asked for pizza lunch and a dinner. My sister didn't feel like getting the pizza so I got no pizza and my mom unfortunately was suffering from a headache and didn't manage to make my dinner. So it was just a day of disappointment :[ Could've at least gotten the pizza... I made the request like 2 months in advance :( |

| Don’t you mean “Where did my birthday go?” Lately my birthdays hasn’t been so extravagant, just eating out and it has become a boring/tedious obligatory routine. So I plan to treat myself on my next birthday by taking a couple weeks off and do another sequel of the Hangover. |

| Once you get old, you don't really look forward to birthdays anymore. Also, one of my favorite parts about not having social media (besides MAL) anymore is not getting all the annoying notifications on your birthday. I totally dig the hikikomori lifestyle. |

| I don't ever want to celebrate people's birthday because they only want to gain popularity or feed their ego. I'd celebrate my family or close friends any day, doesn't have to be on birthday. Birthday wishes online is easy, because I don't have to fake a smile and wishes can be more sincere rather than feeling forced to do it. |
| Finally after two consecutives birthdays of arguing with my father, I had the best 18th birthday in my whole life. We drank beer, rum, played Super Smash Bros Melee, Jenga, Pictionary, cooked hamburgers (Best hamburgers I ever ate) and had deep conversations in the backyard. Best birthday ever. |

| This year: Was amazing. I hung out with my bestest friends. LITERALLY couldn't get better. Last year: Hosted a birthday party that ended in my cleaning up after everyone and crying and sitting on my rooftop at night crying that I was bi-sexual and I was in love with the first love of my life. The year before that: Literally only my BFs said HB while everyone literally didn't care. Few days after, this popular girl who had only transferred to the school a few months prior, had all "her friends" fill her locker with pricey chocolate, decorate her locker, and scream, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" while hugging her. Then I literally stood a few feet away, staring at the crowd around her, hurt and depressed af. Someone could've taken a photo of me staring at the crowd, and seen the pure disappoint on my face at that moment like the world had ended. Yep. |
