| i'm curious to see how many people are going into this series knowing its a loose spinoff of the anime danball senki/LBX. if you're wondering what the relation to the original series is, all of the armor designs are based off of LBX robot models. the main character karina is achilles. sophia is the emperor, and macoco is joker. if its anything like the aforementioned game ('soukou musume' a web browser game that is being handled by DMM) it'll most likely be a story about a group of girls defending a ruined tokyo. the premise is pretty simple; something nitty-gritty, a lot of angst and/or fighting - sadly, it's something a lot of us have seen before, and it's not nearly as innovative as the core material. i'm just hoping this doesn't ruin the image of the original series; i'd hate to see my favorite franchise devolve completely into generic fanservice... but that's just my thoughts, what do you guys think? |

| please do! its very underrated and actually very well done [especially in terms of CGI/kids anime writing]. i dont have high expectations for soukou musume myself, but im willing to give it a try since im such a hardcore fan of the original |

| @Knightmare_Fused Since it's a battle girl show I've had it in this list since it was announced, but I didn't know it was confirmed for next season, thanks :) Glad they hired Go Sakabe. something nitty-gritty, a lot of angst and/or fighting I don't like the sound of that, and the current poster doesn't suggest that at all. Hopefully it's more standard battle CGDCT fare like Strike Witches. |
| @nDroae after seeing the new trailer, i agree. my initial perception was based on the first promotional material. back then fans were under the impression that it'd be exactly like the soukou musume game (of which has heavy underlying tones). this is definitely more in the realm of battle fanfare with a potentially interesting plot. i'm really digging the stylized CGI. it feels like a direct callback to the original series, since the robots used were animated that way. not huge on the art style personally (newer moe just doesn't do it for me) but everything else looks promising. i'll be sure to check it out once it airs! |

| @xamantra afaik, you'll be good! they might mention the lore in the original/some LBX names though. @Roevhaal i wouldn't judge the original solely based on appearances, tbh. though it's not for everyone and i understand that. i'm not gonna say that the audience between kids/hobby anime fans directly correlates to the genre this adaption is aiming for either. to each their own! |

| Otacross in the new pv. Would've preferred if they adapted LBX Retsuden History of Justice or pick up where it left off. But the chances of that happening is pretty much 0. Really unfortunate that the original creator seems to want to forget about this series. |

This season was nice exception. We got this, Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? and High-Rise Invasion. I really liked MC in High-Rise Invasion. |
