| So I rewatched Punch Line and then finally started the game after buying it a while ago. Only significant difference is the ending. The rest is basically the anime verbatim, except more drawn out, some elaborations that were easily inferred or unneeded, and low budget. The actual gameplay bits are incredibly basic bareboned. All around quite the missed potential, just look up the ending online. |

| man ideon was so much better than I expected, starts really boring, but around ep 8 it gets pretty decent and gradually builds into a really good show with only a couple misteps. The movie be invoked though is a whole other beat that I thought was absolutely incredible, its one of the most brutal and shocking anime films ive seen that elicits an actual sense of despair and sincere moments of shock without feeling edgy, largely in part due to the message it comes out of at the end that just brings the entire series full circle in a way I was not expecting given how uncynical and optimistic it was in stark contrast to literally every other minute of the series and movie prior. |
