Please give me dark anime that doesn't contain much gore, but generally just disturbing.

CHECK MY LIST BEFORE RECOMMENDING AND PLEASE EXPLAIN THE ANIME A BIT INSTEAD OF JUST LEAVING A NAME

Well I personally don't really consider it dark but I've talked to people who find the show slightly disturbing in this scary kind of way
The show is about fighting beings from another universe who steal other's existence so that its like if they never were born and other humans forget them like if they were never there even if they are friends or family

Mouryou no Hako - don't really know what to say about this show, it's a mystery and it's somewhat twisted
Wasurenagumo - ending will leave your mouth hanging
Honobono Log - best slice of life short

most kawaii loli overlord

Donquixote Doflamingo AMV - Control

Colorful, at least for me, was dark to the point were I felt uncomfortable watching it. It's not dark in a traditional way though. It focuses on a broken family trying to repair itself after our main character's attempted suicide. The first half is so sour and mean spirited, but it lightens up near the end.

all of these are pretty short

For a longer show you could go with Kenpuu Denki Berserk, a bit of an old one (the others are old too, but this one really shows it).

Shiki. Definitely has some gore, but is part of that beautiful camp in horror that attempts to blur the line between what makes a human and what makes a monster.

"Bake Neko," the final arc of Ayakashi Samurai Horror Tales, and its continuation, the series Mononoke - travelling "medicine seller" slays demons brought forth by human mid-deeds
Ghost Hound - boy enlists friends to find the man who kidnapped him and his sister as young children
NHK ni Youkoso! - characters deal with paranoia and suicidal tendencies as they make the transition to adulthood; no gore
Kemono no Sou-ja Erin - dark story but no gore as it is based on a novel for older children
Made in Abyss - one episode with gore
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica - "deconstructed" magical girl tale with bloodless supernatural battles

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryouko - two girls search a desolate world after a cataclysmic war; remarkably light-hearted given its subject matter; one of the best shows from 2017 with tour-de-force performances by its two seiyuu
