I cringe when I think who will be cast as Sachiko, the 3 senior Roses and Shimako.

Hopefully hot girls, but regardless of whether they are or not, the fact that they're Japanese would mean they can't act anyway, so it doesn't really matter. I'd rather attractive bad actors than unattractive ones.

I wonder why there are so many people complaining about this movie. I mean Marimite perfectly fits the conditions for a live movie since there is no absurd action or something like that. I think it can be good. And about the teat drinking and stuff - they did the same in the anime and it is loved by many people. I look forward to the movie but even though I second following quote:

What about the novels and manga?

Mmm I think this sounds like a splendid idea, not all Japanese actresses are that bad and well, I'd love to see some cutesy girls drinking tea, actually. xD

I've never been a huge fan of live action, but it'd be interesting to see a live-action version of this series... It'll be different, that's for sure, but hopefully it's done well, or at least alright. I only worry about who they'll cast for all of the characters...

I would definitely prefer a fifth season, but as long as interest in Maria-sama (Marmite) continues to grow, well, it cannot be all bad. The actresses they've chosen so far seem to match quite well. though it is a little difficult to see them in the pony tails or lighter complexion (make-up). Regardless, I can already see their potential to play the parts of Yumi and Sachiko. My only fear is that they do such a lousy job that they will scare people away from the series. It's hard enough already to convince people that a story that lacks killer robots, killer psychos, and any form of killing at all is worth while.
It's not the years, it's the mileage!
