Violet learning about Gilbert's death is heartwrenching. Glad that the playwright saw Olivia even just in a vision for a moment.

Currently rewatching this masterpiece of a series to refresh myself before watching the movie and somehow the sting of all the emotional gut punches are hitting harder than ever. That, I think, is the sign of a great series. Not only will it make you cry, but instead of growing numb to it the more you experience it, it will just make you cry harder.

Bro, I was sobing when she took the jumping jump. I don't know why. I normally don't het super emotional over these types of showes, but I guess the stress of today just hit me. Ya know? It was nice. A good cry. I definitely needed it. I'm glad I took the time to tonight to watch the show.

Giving closure to the writer, Violet moved him. He saw her in the vibrant form flying through the river and touching the water; just as Olivia envisioned herself to do so one day. This moment and the whole encounter with the playwright  further gave Violet the feeling of lose, loneliness and pain while remember the Major. What she becomes right now, finally feeling the trauma of war was such an imapctful scene.

Also knowing the truth about what might have happened to the Major and clinging onto the possibility that he might still be alive carries her forward. I cried a lot in this episode. Loved the progression of story.

Cracking eggs is definitely complicated. Bruuuuh I'm in literal tears after watching this episode. Poor dad, I wonder what his daughter passed away from. God this episode actually hurt. Now Violet knows Major passed away. She has developed feelings and feels remorse for the people she killed while in combat, she has come a long way. What a beautiful episode.

Main part of the episode was once again a one-episode character with a tragic backstory, didn't care much for that. Even though it was nicely directed and animated as usual. As with the last few episodes, the ending was actually way more interesting, I hope they don't drop that topic again in the next episode.

The problem was set up to be grand, but the fact that within 2-3 days the problem is resolved by a stranger none the less, make it fall apart like a house of cards. also the screenplay concept was not that intresting, quite generic

wow, finally a really good episode, MC's development is visible to the naked eye, I honestly can't be sad about the major's death, he and his relationship with MC are poorly developed, I was more affected by the death of the girl from this episode

Violet cracking an eggshell. (Haha)
The jump she made (with a good animation) was the best of the episode...

Violet leaping and kind-of walking on water is one of the most memorable moments from the whole series. What's more important though, is that this is the first episode where we really see her emotions start to come through.

I don't think I've ever cried this much over an episode of anime in my entire life. I'm sure there are more moments out there that I have yet to see. But this episode hit me in the feels very hard.

Inclined to think Gilbert isn't dead, if the only thing they found was his dogtags, and no body. Otherwise, why would that've been mentioned?

I'm far enough that I'll finish the show but sadly I don't relate to the hype people have for it. The two comparisons I can think of to it are Eighty-Six (which I adore) and Apothecary Diaries (which I have a similarly dull opinion of) and the components of the show remind me much more of the former but the execution feels more like the latter. I just don't care that much about anything that's going on and there's not really any mystery to any of it. Something like Mushishi has the hook of each case being totally unique and wild and something like, I dunno, City Hunter, you know that the main character is going to pull off some insane shit to solve the case. This show is just "here's a sad person, Violet will observe, then she'll tell them its all alright actually, they'll accept their own feelings, and then everyone moves on" and like...I don't really care about that.
