| The official website revealed the details of Black★Rock Shooter anime. Black Rock Shooter official website Duration: 50min Cast Kuroi Mato: Hanazawa Kana Takanashi Yomi: Sawashiro Miyuki They will conduct a PR campaign of the anime from June 25th - August 31st, and the whole movie will be provided for free during the period. Examples of the campaign: 1. free online streaming 2. preview events 3. free distribution of the DVD According to the official twitter of character goods maker COSPA, they will secure the profits by the sales of the Blu-ray edition and the special package. | Why all the promotion? It should be a best seller regardless. Is there even any need for all of this? It could really backfire if the fans don't like the plot or how BRS herself is characterised. Also, I guess this is just one episode, isn't it? That's what I pick up from this article. |

Its not Kyoani, nor they work in the same Production house. Yamamoto, Yutaka ( A Former Kyoani staff ) and, 4 more Kyoani Staff left and join with him which they founded Ordet Animation Studio. | If the OVA will be successfull we might get a real Anime anytime. Though I'm happy about the OVA. Was in denial with the whole Black Rock Shooter Anime anyways. Now they can't screw up that much. |

| ^ Haha, yeah I agree. I posted that at the time when I was annoyed by those who call Bakemonogatari's delay some kind of conspiracy of whatever. (even though 1 year delay is a bit too much.) But, isn't it just one episode OVA with 50 minutes duration? I'm pretty sure it will left all of us into the despair of 'IWANTMOR'. |
| The overall release date (meaning, the streaming of the OVA) has been pushed back to an unknown date at this time. I'm only assuming this because according to the site, an "early premiere" will be taking place on July 7th (Tanabata) for a lucky 150 subscribers to the magazines below...and if that's the "early premiere", then it's likely no one is going to see anything from the OVA until after that has taken place (except possibly for the actual anime trailer, and not a cam-recorded like the TAF one) The original site streaming date was going to be from June 25th - August 31st. On WIKI, it says that it will be released on July 24th (which is actually the date for the when the September issue of "Hobby Japan" is released). So there might not even be a streaming date >_> Monthly Hobby Japan's September issue (w/DVD) ships out on July 24th; Monthly Megami Magazine's September issue (w/DVD) ships out on July 30th; Monthly Animedia's September issue (w/DVD) ships out on August 10th |
