Neither , you should watch better anime such as Ero Manga Sensei , Overlord , Oreimo and Legend of the Galatic Heroes.

Watch them all, they're decent. Then read the manga. The manga is better anyways.

Watch, watch, watch... and then read.

I read the manga for some time, and I can tell you that Part I is (for me) easier to watch than to read.

Jojo's BA is amazing. Had so much fun. Part 1 is not the best part . . . Have fun!

I'd recommend reading it. With the exception of Battle Tendency, the manga handles every part better than the anime. It also has many parts which haven't been adapted yet. As it's awkward to transition from manga to anime, read the whole series and then watch the anime if you enjoyed it enough and want more.

I think that @-Lofn- knows the answer to your question.

Placing Legend of the Galactic Heroes among these abominations doesn't look nice.

You should do both. Watching the anime would probably be the best choice though.

Ahem Jojofag coming through.

I would say watch them as they were handled with care, with an eargasmic soundtrack and top-notch choice for voice actors, sound department is a 10/10.

Animation wise, it isn't the best, though, I just argue that Jojo doesn't really need a top-tier level of animation.

You just get the solve the pacing problems with the manga, the usual kind. You can really go both ways really. But I just prefer the anime cause...you know...it's just a great adaptation and you get everything you want from a good adaptation, just minus the animation. Part 4 anime also fixes some problems by making 2 arcs happening simultaneously in the episode.

I guess you also loose the art that Araki wanted cause the art in the manga are :ok_hand:

Manga has great art and few nuances that are not in the anime.

The reason I am asking for is exactly that, FMA Brotherhood neglected a few brilliant moments in the manga, how much nuance does JoJo miss in the anime?

No brilliant moment are left from what I know. An example of something missing is that in the manga when Jonathan and Dio have a boxing match they bet their monthly allowances so the loser has no more money. It's not big stuff and from what I read watching part 1 and 2 is usually preferred to the manga (first season contains both parts). The anime is usually a panel by panel adaptation but sometimes a panel that worked in manga doesn't work as well in anime because of manga's focus on the moment and anime's focus on movement.
Other than that the anime might feel slower paced during the fights in stardust crusader because they have to fill the time slot by making one episode per enemy while the manga takes only the time it needs.

Y E S. I watched the anime first and then read all of the manga. I'm not caught up with Part 8 though.

I would watch it first though to see if you like it, and if you really like it then read the manga.

Jojo in itself is starting to become overrated, but if I had a preference, the manga has more depth to the characters.

Also

agreed with the OST, sounds, and voice acting being top notch. Although JoJo isn't focused on comedy, it does a damn good job on those moments too.

Being action packed series from start to finish, to me, should be a good enough reason alone to watch the anime as it is great to witness those movements

Well for parts 5-8 manga is your only option.

Parts 1 and 2 are better in anime form. The manga art for those parts looks.....off.

Part 3 anime is about on par with the manga so take your pick. Haven't seen part 4 but I put the manga in my favorites so there's my opinion on that.

The anime has great music and uniquie directing, but it's pretty low budget and the manga artstlye doesn't translate that well to animation... however both versions are completely fine. I personally think the manga is slightly better.

You can just do both the anime or read the manga, although the anime adaptation did an excellent job of animating parts 1-5 and currently this year part 6 is coming out, however the manga has more jojo content since parts 6-8 hasn’t came out yet and will take longer for those parts to be animated I’d read the manga for those but whatever you choose I’d say go for both.

both are amazing though personally I’d recommend watching it then if you wanted more jojo’s go for the manga. DP has adapted 5 parts, part 6 is also confirmed to get an adaptation and for the manga part 8 is still ongoing.

why not both? i'd watch the anime first, and then read the manga. the soundtracks, voice acting, and animation are pretty good. I've only read part 4 of the manga, but I preferred it to the anime. It took me longer to read than to watch, but I still felt like the pacing in the manga was a bit faster and preferrable. Also, the art is really good (at least in Part 4) in the manga. The manga also provides a more authentic experience of JoJo, as it isn't adapted or changed at all (aside from maybe the translations).

Both are great! I’d reccomend reading and watching if you can as the art takes on a different style and some scenes are better in the manga and some are better with all the animation music and voice acting. Anything with Dio pretty much is even greater in the anime with Koyasu’s insane performance

I personally read the manga first and then watched the anime later but I’d recommend just watching the anime first since it’s only 9 episodes and I’m pretty sure it’d be quicker and possibly more enjoyable. The adaptation is pretty spot on and it’s better if you want to binge the anime too. There’s also voice acting and a soundtrack but I recommend going back and reading the manga after if you enjoy jojo.

both are fine, the only thing is that parts 6-8 haven’t been adapted yet so if you want to continue past part 5 and don’t mind switching from anime to manga, then go with whatever you’re comfortable with

I finished the anime and just finished volume 1, do both, only this way you get the full JoJo experience (I recommend the anime first because it has less story and you’ll have the voices for the manga)

Watch the anime. Like Hellsing in the Ultimate OVAs and Attack on Titan, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure adapts the manga so well to the point where you don’t really need to read the manga if you don’t really want to. It’s a 99% faithful adaptation. And don’t judge the series by the first 9 episodes (part 1), it gets so much better afterwards.
Pandora Hearts is the best manga ever made and deserves an anime reboot

I’ve done both and honestly I’m gonna have to go with the anime, obviously the manga gives a sort of original experience to the plot but the anime really stands out from all the other adaptations such as Naruto and other shounen titles, jjba anime is definitely my pick

I think JoJo is one of those series that the anime is ultimately better for the most part considering the OST, voice acting and sound effects; but I don’t know if my opinion is valid since I only read like a chapter of part 5 to look at the differences between the show and manga

Yeah my mutuals have given me mixed opinions on it. I prefer reading since it's the source material, but it also doesn't have things like OST or VA which could enhance the experience if done right. So I might just try out the anime and see how I feel about it, and switch to the manga if I'm not vibing with it.
