The first chapter of the manga is unnecessarily exploitative and it would turn off most people (reminding you all that the public here in MAL is not representative of most anime watchers, which are casuals). I wish they would tone it down a bit so it doesn't become an edge fest like Akame ga Kill. Also, appealing to the masses means more popularity, which equals more future adaptations. |

| To the people who say this is going to be pretty edgy, you're actually kinda right (because there plenty cliches) but I think it's actually done very tastefully compared to other trashy ones *cough* SAO *cough* Big World Order. The characters aren't cardboard cutouts like in other LN adaptations (although their appearance/traits somewhat are) and are pretty likeable, unique, self-confident, and competent at least imo. There certainly is a kinda rape fetish going on but apart from that the story, MC, (everything else really) is pretty interesting and actually has lots of heartwarming/comedic moments too - which I was surprised to see. The main selling point tho is the badass main character, he's an alpha (the type that are so cherished nowadays). It's made even cooler because we almost never see his face only his tone, words, body language etc. I think it has all the recipes for success now and will probably defy the expectations of many who simply see it as simplistic gore/rape edgefest show. |

| The worst outcome of the adaptation is that they shonenify it too much and emphasize the subtle harem rather than the glorious corpses for fan services. Anyway, chances of that aren't high so I'm still hype for this. I wonder which parts of the novels will they adapt. |

| Read the first 4 novel volumes and like it, however I don't think it'll make a good anime. |
| This novel is not suitable to be made into a TV show imo. It would be better as an ova or ona. Either they will have to censor the hell out of it or it will be a poor adaptation. I'm still interested to see how it will turn out. |

It is not even close to Goblin Slayer's level. It is OK to have gore scenes that's not the problem. The problem is the rape scenes. Those scenes show goblins' depravity and why they must be hated so they need to show them. But they will be %100 censored and won't make the same impact manga did. There is no monster rape scene in Inuyashiki. That's why I said ONA or something like that would be better since those don't air in TV and they would have more freedom in these. |
