| I always wondered how Sorachi would draw grown up characters in the manga, but I never expected much from Shinpachi. I mean how cool can a megane get? (don't get me wrong, I love him, but really) I really hated the movie Shinpachi. He looked like some annoying tsundere bishounen. He didn't have the tsukkomi Shinpachi feel to him.  BUT The moment I opened the chapter I was shook. I almost screamed because my megane boy is so cool now! Sorachi actually managed to make him look 1) appealing, 2) calm, 3) wise, 4) having Gin-san's feel to him and 5) STILL TSUKKOMI BUT a cool one!  He kind of reminded me of Otose’s husband. I am also shocked how Gintoki-styled costume matched him so well, without making him look cringey.  I even feel guilty for not liking Shinpachi this much before. The feelings woke up too late *sigh* So what do you guys think? Which version do you like better?  |
