Welp, this episode was tense. That "training" honestly made me laugh a little. Oh Rui.

I think my favorite part was the battle on the bridge as we see a quick yet skilled battle. Felt like they're trying to expand the story more through the other characters besides just Hachirou. Seems "something strange" is coming...a strange castle?

Oh, Rui, Rui. I still do not understand if this episode should mean that she is a lesbian or is it just a teasing before building her ship with Hagura? I do not know, but it looks interesting, because it makes false my first impression of 3-4 obvious pairs.

Nevertheless, this episode seemed to me a clear progress in comparison with the "prologue". Animation is more stable, the elements of slice of life do not look so cardboard, and the plot has become more sober. In general, it would be better if the prologue was OVA, rather than spoiling the general impression of adaptation, I think.

I must admit I'm a bit confused after this episode. I almost feel like i missed an episode or two along the line but this is episode six and it follows five, right? And Hachirou has been trapped in the twilight zone all this time.

No, this is the time skip after the events of the previous episode. If I'm not mistaken, Hachiro left the village so as not to endanger his sister and their "friends", and to avoid incestuous marriage.

now that everyone grew up, I just hope that this season does not end up like the first one, it would be very disappointing

The question isn't "What anime do you like?" That is merely a list.
The question is "Why do you like it?" That tells a story. Your story.

so disappointed that this anime went on the route of time skip to progress their story instead of keeping what they've started with(story about kids and kids love)
In the end thats what i really wanted, to see something like romeo jullieta with 2 families but the difference is its them being siblings and their families supportingi t, but the dramatic romance but between kids would be so great. Not to mention all side characters romances.
Well, anyway lets see what will come out of it.

Oh look at them kids! in just 4 years they've all grown-up!
i liked the part where Shichigen Hagura resist the temptation that Rui is performing on to him!
Is Hadaebou a friend or foe!?
4/5.

They are all grown up now and training hard, Hachirou looks older than the others, guess it's because of the training, sad thing he left all his friends behind.

I feel sorry for the kids teenagers if this is going to go like the prequel seeing them have a normal life(?) and then turn out like a free for all (not that I think they are going to fight between them) in the sense that they have to try to survive against seasoned ninjas. If the show does a good job fleshing them out/their relationship between them (somewhat normal life/dreams) this is going to be tough…

Timeskip six episodes in, damn. Hibiki still looks around the same age, oddly enough.
