| Since I'm the OP and this is by far the most replies one of my posts has ever received, I thought I should weigh in. I have three children and won't be having any more. When they were named, the names were chosen from a combination of names of forebears/relatives, and names we liked. If I were naming a child now, I'd consider names of favorite characters from stories/movies/shows, including anime/manga, but only from among those that sound like reasonable names in this country and which fit the child's ethnicity. |

| Not all Anime Characters are Japanese or have Japanese Names so yeah but it has to sound Regal, Noble or Heroic for a boy and Gothicly Elegant like for a girl. Also since I'm a guy so my surname carries over but I have a surname that almost sounds Japanese with a honorific so it's kind of hard to find one that fits my surname. But still I'd prefer a European name over Japanese. e.g. Boy : Lelouch, Frederick Von, Kraft von, Darius, Cadis Di Raizel Girl: Octavia, Victorique, Celestia, Selesia, Laura, Silvia, Anna, Anastasia, Irina, Aurelia, Celica |
