25-hour Vacation

Ah, so this was the incest story Tumblr people were getting mad over. It's quite beautiful yet dark. I didn't dislike it.

Idk why bringing tumblr people up but this is a nice intro to her works I wish I read before. It still deals with transformation, surreal stuff, emotional truths and slight body horror. Though I guess chara development through limb replacement in houseki is the dankest she got

I really loved this story, the brokenness of its characters and the turbulence of its relationship represented almost visually by its eye and its fragile shell body.
Ichikawa is the best

Great story, the siblings have a neat relationship, the ending was alright, at least she didn't die, glad she made 2 chapters, she expanded well the character tribulations

I've read Mushi to Uta, but this series of two stories seems to be the closest to Land Of The Lustrous by far. The entire being made of pearls, breaking, and having makeshift legs reminds me a lot of the series. Also, Otome looks like Cairngorm, and the brother looks like Aechmea.

As I'm speedrunning Ichikawa-sensei's early works, the only thing that has really been bothering me is the presence of incest? Why is there so much of it? I could really do without. The story would still have made sense without it.
