Shugo Chara!
| I'm currently reading volume 3 of Shugo Chara holy shit I love this. I don't feel like I should, but I do. Most of the things I like are usually "elitist bait" (NGE, Berserk, JoJo, or Kaiji) and this seems to have a very different audience from everything listed above. The manga is so flowery and gives me such a good feeling and I love the theme of growing up Shugo Chara has and it resonates with me so much. I don't know why it does. I also don't know why there's been no discussion for this since 2014. I love this manga wtf. |
| Older mahou shoujo series rarely have any kind of discussion going on, especially these aimed at younger audience. But hey, thanks for your input anyway, I'm slightly interested in Shugo Chara after reading your comment, maybe I'll add this to my PTW/PTR list :> |

| Everything has it's cycle and this one has definitely run it's through. As the other user stated, demographic and age keep the series off the radar nowadays. However, like other works in a similar position they are beloved in the small circles of fans that stumble upon it or have grown with it. Many express love for the series's introspective nature. I'm glad you're enjoying it~ |

| It was pretty popular in it's day, especially the anime. It's been done and over for almost 8 years now and despite it's cute art style and somewhat tasteful design choices it never struck me as so unique. Mod Edit: Removed quote of deleted post. |

| I'll probably be the last one to ever post on this topic if you no one else does but I genuinely agree. Shugo chara growing up was the first anime I've ever watched. I could watch it a thousand times and never get tired of it. I've seen the entire series (excluding shugo chara party) about 4 times and now I'm reading the manga ( cause i heard theres more chemistry between her and ikuto haha) Anyways I remember when I went to korea there were tons of shugo chara stuff being sold everywhere, like figurines etc. It would even be on regular tv often (ik not surprising). In netflix maybe 2010/2011 I realized it was on netflix at the time which was pretty remarkable for netflix to have exactly the show I wanted. Even if you guys are finished with the series or in fact have never watched it I would still rewatch and reread in a heartbeat. Honestly I know it got more hype back then but it saddens me that people haven't even heard of it now. I say bring it back |

| It's not talked about more because it's old lol... I watched the anime when I was in junior high and I'm 30 years old, now. And even at its heyday it was never a big hit. Although it did hit quite a height for its time. Of course, nowadays anime is much bigger and more impactful than in those days. |
