| Well this took me by surprise. I feel like I know what direction this anime will take but at the same time, I feel like I don't. I think I'll continue watching just in case it's different from the typical "Boy is powerless but meets his RIGHT ONE (Female) gains power, rekts shit" anime. That face tho.  |

| High production values, kinda bland character designs, usual trigger flair here and there. Not bad, not bad at all. Fan service was, meh a bit much. A little goofy seeing a kid just make out with some girl and fall into their little bed sized cockpit and pass out and everything be wrapped up conveniently. Definitely could of benefited from 2 episodes to better set up the threat and actually establish everything a bit as well as concluding the fight in a more earned way then just, new pilot, super saiyan level mech, win in less than 5 minutes. I'll give it a few episodes, curious about the backstory and the setting. |

| Well. That was... a disappointing start. Fancy visuals, and fan service galore, but it basically did nothing to introduce any characters or plot. This first ep was almost a carbon copy of Gurren Lagann's first episode as well. In fact, it's resting so heavily on the laurels of shows like TTGL and Eva that there was very little fresh material to even be seen here. Hoping this gets better, and doesn't follow the same tired path KLK did. 2/5 |

| Well it still baffles me but on the other side it's still Trigger so I shouldn't be so amazed that such amazing story telling and character development already took place in the first 24 minutes of this series. Quite an impressive setting, pacing, characters and in general feel of this series! I hope Trigger will outperform themselves again with this series, so let's see what it has to offer! |

| I'm quite excited so far. The show did little to really explain the world to the audience in the first episode, and rather go straight into the characters, not that it's a problem but yeah... Though the world and character types so far are pretty cliche, let's just see how this show gives out of it. The 'Franxx' are robots?! One that transforms to suit the characteristics of the 2 pilots of different sexes? What purpose does the boobs have and the face and the moving mouth?! It's best to not ask questions but...I demand a detailed explanation for such things like this! Hmmmn... Zero 2 might turn out to be a great character... |

| So Naomi, Hiro's ex-partner is dead? Poor girl, her words were right, they wouldn't see each other again. Something mysterious about 002. She 'kills' her partner. Just how does a FRANXX work anyway? The monsters are so similar to Angels in Evangelion or Zoids. They have mechanical like bodies and a core. I wonder if a FRANXX is a type of monster which is pilotable like EVA. Will Hiro get 'killed' by her too? |

| It brought some memories of my younger anime watching days(watch very little now) but i agree the MC looks too much like the archetype of "insert your self here Mr. Japanese teen dude hoping for a girlfriend while watching anime". |
| This looks like a Eva clone and protagonist looks bland as hell, I would rather watch Shinji do some random shit honestly. Energetic horned girl is kinda meh as well, whole concept of "only you can understand me" is kinda boring |
| Pathetic start and I bet that even first impression from first episode is enough to admit that the whole anime is pure garbage in all terms since even its strongest part - combat looks cartoonish 6+ tier. Characters are boring, dialogues are some gibberish, so called Zero Two is typical ecchi tier (same as brainless fanservice) thot and nothing more, concept of pairs which charging a robot is old and I saw it in a weak ecchi comedy mecha anime (who knew that even this low tier anime is better than Darling in the FranXX). |
| aight a bit late to the show but woof those are some crisp mech and monster designs, im digging it don't watch a lot of futuristic mech anime's but damn there are some interesting design ideas that i would have never thought of in this anime also did the first like 20 minutes of the entire anime just abolish what other anime's would have taken like 2 seasons to do? |

| Soooo that's the famous Darling in the Franx, certainly gave me Guren Lagann vibes. Was a pretty solid first episode, did not feel boring at all. |

| Damn animation is on point, first episode already pulled me in, wanting to know more about this world. Definitely a lot of NGE vibes obviously but I don't mind. Few questions though; - How has Hiro never seen a Klaxosaur before, surely they'd learn about them in history books or maybe seen them outside their walls before? - Why in the world were they that unprepared for a sudden attack, just some cannons on the outside walls and no FranXX ready to fight at any time? I hope Hiro isn't going to be another Shinji. 002 is a sexy character, maybe a bit over the top with the sexualization but she's cool. Kinda silly for even the FranXX to be sexualized though. Already a lot of questions about the world and that makes me excited ^^ |

| It looks like studio TRIGGER is behind this one, that fact alone is reassuring. Very interesting lore being setup behind this story from the very first shots, it looks promising. |
| It was a very fast-paced episode... Maybe a bit too much. I had a hard time understanding what was going on but I guess it'll be slowed down in the next episodes so I don't want to judge yet. This episode gave me some FLCL vibes on some levels... Especially with the whole symbolic behind the mechas (no, I didn't understand it just by watching this ep, I already knew about it but I didn't know how they'd handle it). Zero Two also kinda reminds me of Haruko. Speaking of Zero Two, she's the only reason why I started this show as she's very popular and seems to be the type of character I would enjoy. Well, for now her character seems to be quite interesting. It looks like she has a lot to offer. I unfortunately got spoiled some stuff about her but not everything so I'm looking forward to see how she'll be developed. (Though I hope it won't be as predictable as I imagine it to be, especially since for now, Zero Two doesn't seem to be very unique as far as personality goes.) |

| Giving this show a go, two years behind us want to see what the hype is all about and if it is as good/terrible as is claimed. This first episode has me interested, I guess it has Euruka 7 and Evangelion threads running through it. Plus fanservice of course. Hope it doesn't get too blatant with it though, got to treat this like seasoning, no going overboard. |

| really liked the first episode!! i'm hardly into mecha or action but i love the setting, the character designs, the art direction, i'm impressed! love the animation and art style it's right up my alley, and it's refreshing to see a balanced amount of girls & boys leading into the series. MC is a little underwhelming at the moment tho but zero two is so cute & i like her personality! |

| I am not a big mecha fan but this seems great! This is the first Mecha anime I am watching and guess what! It began with a kiss WOW!!! So many ppl say ZeroTwo is one of the best girl. Umm let's see ;) . Also I see something's burning up. °_° |
