Hello MAC. This topic is a beta version of an extended guide intended to explain what you can do with bots in MAC Discord server (feel free to join if you haven't done it yet).

§0. General notes

Interactions with bots should be done in #bot_room exclusively.
There are several bots and you can address them by typing their specific prefix (for example ?? or !) and then your command (??help, for instance).
This guide is not a complete description of bots that work on MAC but rather a description of what you can actually do with them in general.

§1. List of bots available for interaction

Actually there are about 13 bots on MAC, but not all of them are intended to talk to you. Only bots whom you can use are listed here.

NekoChan
Prefix: ?
Help command: help
Website: https://github.com/Tsumiki-Chan/Neko-Chan
General purpose

Mantaro
Prefix: ?? or ~>
Help command: help
Website: https://github.com/Mantaro/MantaroBot
Specific purpose: economy (global currency, items, gamble), social (hugs, kisses, marriage between users), reputation, also knows anime and manga titles and characters

Tatsumaki
Prefix: t!
Help command: help
Website: http://tatsumaki.xyz/
General purpose
Also manages global user profiles, so you can earn credits, reputation and experience for all servers where Tatsumaki is connected

Dyno
Prefix: !!
Help command: help
Website: https://www.dynobot.net/
Specific purpose: roles

Mee6
Prefix: !
Help command: faq
Website: https://mee6.xyz/
Specific purpose: local leveling system, MAC-specific help (roles, channels, etc)

§2. Leveling

The primary leveling system is local (gained levels affect only MAC) and is managed by Mee6. Your level is displayed as a role. It defines color of your name and some privileges. There is also a global leveling system managed by Tatsumaki that gives you levels on all Discord servers where Tatsumaki is connected but on MAC it has no real effect on what you can do. Mantaro also tracks your progress and assigns levels but those are currently not in use in any way.
For all leveling systems, experience is granted for simply chatting. Detailed descriptions on experience rewarding procedure may be found on corresponding bots websites.

Commands:
!rank (optional @someone) – displays yours or someone else's rank on MAC, level and experience.
t!profile progress – displays yours global level and experience and also local rank and score.

§3. Roles

There are three roles that you can obtain or abandon with !!rank command whenever you want:

  • Spoiler – Grants access to #airing_spoilers.
  • Event – Allows for you to be pinged if you wish to participate in server events.
  • VIP – A role that grants you access to NSFW chats.

To join/leave any of the above listed roles write !!rank role. For example, !!rank VIP.

Also:
!!ranks – displays population of ranks on MAC.
!roles – displays description of MAC roles.

Besides freely obtainable roles, there are roles that are obtained together with certain levels (according to Mee6 leveling system):

  • Level 1 – gives Voice role - it will let you use voice channel (If you aren't level 1 yet, you can use Newcomers voice channel only!).
  • Level 10 – gives Unchained role - it will let you post embeds on #lobby and separates you on right side.
  • Level 20 – gives Regulars role - separated on right side.

The role Most active today is granted to the user who posts most messages. This role allows to set a custom color for your name with command %todayscolor HEX. You can check top 5 users with %mostactive.

Other roles are granted personally by MAC Staff members. Use !roles for further information.

§4. Profiles

Mantaro and Tatsumaki manage users profiles. You can see them using commands:

  • ??profile (optional @someone) – displays a MAC profile with user's Mantaro level, reputation, badges, credits, inventory, marriage status, birthday, timezone and custom information.
  • t!profile (optional @someone) – displays a global Tatsumaki profile as a picture with user's name, avatar, level, experience, reputation, global rank, credits and custom information.

Here is what ??profile looks like:

And this is an example of t!profile:

Commands to customize Mantaro profile:

  • ??birthday dd-mm-yyyy or ??birthday remove – set or remove your birthday.
  • ??profile description set text – sets your profile description (300 Characters max).
  • ??profile timezone location or timezone/reset – set your profile's timezone. Example: ??profile timezone GMT+2 will set your timezone to GMT+2 and ??profile timezone Europe/Berlin will set your time to what time Berlin in Germany has.

To customize Tatsumaki profile, visit http://tatsumaki.xyz/profile . There you can set custom title, information and background for your profile picture. Backgrounds are purchased for Tatsumaki currency.

§5. Economy

Mantaro and Tatsumaki manage users funds. Both bots suggest ways to gain and spend credits (but each has its own type of credits and you can't convert them).

Mantaro credits can be earned with following ways:

  • ??daily – gives you credits. Has a cooldown interval of 24 hours. Initially gives $150 but if you don't forget to take ??daily for longer that 2 days accumulates a streak and gradually increases the daily reward.
  • ??loot – searches messages above and gives you found coins and occasionally some garbage, depending on what you were doing. Has a cooldown of 5 minutes.
  • ??mine – mines minerals and instantly exchanges them for cash. Requires a pickaxe (:pick:) which you can buy on ??market. Has a chance of breaking a pickaxe. Has a chance of finding a diamond (:gem:). Has a cooldown of 6 minutes.
  • ??game – provides a list of available games. You get a reward credits if you win. These games are not gambling so you don't lose anything.
  • ??gamble amount/%/all/half/quarter – bet money with a chance to lose your bet or to keep it and win a part of it atop.
  • ??slots amount – bet money on a slot machine game. You can also use slot tickets instead of money, consult with ??help slots for details.
  • usage of many other commands has a chance of indirectly giving you various items that are then retrieved with ??loot and can be sold on ??market.

These credits can be spent on ??market. For example, ??market buy 2 :pick: will buy you 2 pickaxes. ??market command without arguments shows goods available for trade and their buy/sell prices.

??market is divided to several pages:

... and you can switch between them using buttons below.

You can check your ??balance (short ??bal) or ??inventory (short ??inv) at any time.
You can give money to @someone using ??transfer.
You can give items that you possess to @someone using ??itemtransfer.

Tatsumaki credits can be earned with t!daily. You get 200 each time. Has a cooldown interval of 24 hours. Also there are t!fishy set of commands (use t!help for details) to do fishing for paid (10 credits) casting and sell what you catch.
These credits can be spent on http://tatsumaki.xyz/profile for customization of your profile.

§5.1. What to do with items

The following actions can be done with any item in your ??inventory:

  • ??market sell item – sell an item for money (if the item can be bought on ??market, it has lower price when you sell it).
  • ??itemtransfer @someone item (optional amount) – gift an item to someone.

Some items have specific use:

  • :pick: is used to ??mine minerals for money.
  • :tickets: can be used for ??slots -useticket (optional -amount amount) instead of money with a slightly higher chance to win.
  • :ring: (you should have two of them) is necessary to ??marry @someone (you can still get rejected). Marriage is reversible with ??divorce.
  • :key: is used to ??opencrate if you have a lootcrate from ??loot.

§6. Reputation

Reputation system is provided by Mantaro (on MAC) and Tatsumaki (globally on all servers where Tatsumaki is connected).
You can use ??rep (optional @someone) and/or t!rep (optional @someone) (independently) to either check whether you can grant a reputation point right now or grant a reputation point to specified user. Has a cooldown of 12/24 hours, correspondingly.

If you grant someone a reputation point it is added to this user's profile permanently. It doesn't takes anything from you except the ability to grant a reputation point during cooldown.
Whenever you appreciate someone, give this user rep, so that others could know that this user is worth dealing with.

§7. General purpose usage

Use help commands to learn what else bots can do.

Other uses include:

  • searching for anime/manga titles and characters.
  • searching for images, words definitions, weather forecasts, stock exchanges rates etc.
  • playing music in audio channels.
  • playing games like trivia.
  • social actions like hugs or marriage.
  • setting reminders and todos.
  • randomizing by flipping coin, rolling dice or making random choice.
  • having fun by asking 8ball things, rating users as waifus or evaluating their psychopass.
  • displaying time, random facts, various statistics and info.
  • memes.
