That's not an opinion, that's Something called "A lack of brain cells". Specifically the latter.

As others have pointed out, no anime is perfect but for me, the closest to perfection is Millennium Actress. Everything in that movie is beautifully done, the character design, history telling, background art and the soundtrack. I'm yet to find a piece of art that moved me as much as this movie did.

I don't believe anything is "perfect", but I think "In This Corner of the World" comes pretty close.

Another pick would be "I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying" to an extent. It's not for everybody, but if you like it, then you're REALLY going to like it. Each episode may only be 3 minutes, but they actually have pretty deep subject matters, even if it's usually a comedy.

I like reading everyone's opinion on which anime is perfect or why no anime can be perfect because it says a lot about one's individual character.

I saw this thread early in the morning and I was thinking about the question today but I could not find an answer.

My favorite anime are Inuyasha, Clannad, The Seven Deadly Sins, No Game No Life, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Kuroko's Basketball. I looked at all six and couldn't consider any one of them "perfect". They all have flaws that I could easily overlook because I love the series so much.

The Seven Deadly Sins - If Meliodas hasn't committed sexual assault by the end of an episode, the episode's not over yet.

No Game No Life - Oversexualization of an 11 year old girl is just wrong. And the way kuhaku treats Steph in every episode is inhumane.

Kuroko's Basketball - It needed more romance. I don't know why every sports anime (except Yaoi on Ice) is like this, but they never have any romance and I'd just like to see a little more.

Clannad - The English dub voice actors don't know how to pronounce Japanese names. Take a shot every time Sanae says her own name wrong.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Part 5 never

Inuyasha - This one has the least problems for me. I grew up with Inuyasha. Inuyasha raised me. Daddy Inuyasha is perfect but one complaint other people have is it's too long, but I don't think so. When you love Inuyasha as much as I do, 164 episodes just means 164 adventures with the love of your life. God bless the Final Act.

So I'm in the camp that says there is no "perfect anime", but I also believe Inuyasha is the perfect anime for me and likewise, everyone has "that perfect anime" that speaks to them the most.

Imo it succeeds with flying colors on everything it sets out to do. As far as I'm concerned that's as close to perfection you can get.

The Hagaren from 2009 has problems in time management for its whole first part. It introduces a later useful character by simply putting his picture in a screen corner in the prologue episode for example. It squeezes / removes most of the brothers early "expedition", throwing the audience very fast into the escalating series of main events.
And it features the same problem as the manga for its finale: so long it seems stretched out.

I'm on Episode 66 of Dragon Ball Super as of the present moment of writing this message, and I've found no cons in it yet. Of course, there are things that I notice based on my understanding from Dragon Ball Z, but they are easy to forgive.

I guess to be more accurate to what I mean by no cons... I basically mean I have not come across a single episode yet that I did not find both relaxing and enjoyable, and that to me, is considered perfect.

Black Lagoon. Enjoyed every single episode of that (my favorite of all time).
And Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom is also perfect IMO. Even the controversial ending that not many people liked, I still absolutely loved it. It makes me think of a Jason Bourne movie with a lot of other really good elements thrown into it.
I would also consider Steins;Gate to be perfect. It has everything an anime should have in it. Good romance develops, it's got fantastic main characters, it's got a really interesting plot, and the art is fucking amazing.

No anime are perfect to me if I'm criticizing them. That said, I find movies to be the closest to a perfect anime but that's kind of unfair because they're obviously shorter and of higher quality than a series.

I'm watching anime since 2012. I also play games, sometimes.

Don't bother me if you want to 'become friends' or things like that.
It's tiresome. I know you just want to collect some meaningless numbers.

Mushishi is something really special that is genuinely perfect for me, so much so that it's hard to imagine reasons why it wouldn't be liked. The best I can come up with (aside from just a different overall preference in anime) is that it's slow going, but that's not an issue I have or have even noticed at any point, lol. I see a lot of people complaining about the episodic nature, but again, never even remotely had an issue with that.

I wish I could name more anime that feel the same way Mushishi does, lol. Even though I have lots of 10s at this point, I haven't found any that are on quite the same level as that yet. :/

Gintama is solid though. I'm not sure if I'd ever call it perfect, but I've never consciously thought "this is.. not good" at any point, or during any joke that didn't go over well with me.
