Any word of an official english release?

I can't find any news of this being picked up by anyone outside Japan. I don't see Funimation or Aniplex of America jumping on this which surprises me because Mari Okada is a big name and it looks really good.

I hope someone does, I'd like to watch it legally!

Fucking finally! Elevenarts still hasn't taken any action on the bluray for A Silent Voice which is annoying, so if we don't see this in theaters this July we won't be seeing it for a long time.

Eleven Arts Anime Studio has secured North American distribution rights to Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms -- the directorial debut for accomplished screenwriter Mari Okada (The Anthem of the Heart, Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day) and the first theatrical feature from studio P.A.Works (Sakura Quest, True Tears). The feature will be released in the original Japanese with English subtitles on July 20, 2018
