A purse snatcher....
Even though I'm starting to like Sekke a little better now, I still can't stand the guy much. I guess he and Aster are on better terms now though.

About time we're getting some more highlight from Yuno's side this episode. I'm glad he's doing well.

Lol,Sekki was pretty whiny at the beginning.

Nice to have some focus on Yuno, expecting good things of an arc with him, also cause our ears finally get a break from Asta.

Wizard king should be following Yuno, so, it should be okay...

Salim is probably the one who hired those guys to attack Yuno.
Yuno made a big mistake when he took him home.

Slow & contents not good at all.

Sekke did a good job catching the thief. It was amusing he though he was going to die. Some good focus on Yuno. He's doing well. Back to the church again.

Good grief this is getting annoying. More filler still. None of the Yuno stuff happened in the manga. It was only briefly touched upon.

And on top of everything else, they didn't even show Magna losing everything he owned again. That was a great add-on bit in the manga.

Finally, the Magic Emperor appears! We also get to see Yuno in the second half. Still a weird way to end the episode though (just like the previous episode)..

Funny how you think Magna gag is important than the filler where they establish the golden dawn characters. Shows some of the manga readers priorities.

It was 1/8 of a panel and canon. We're 12 episodes in and we've covered 10 chapters, and next episode is filler too. And believe me, there's PLENTY of development for the Golden Dawn characters coming up. This is not that.

That son of the lord look suspicious but it might be another Wizard King plan to show how mastermind he is. But it's very stupid to make an enemy with Yuno when he's very strong candidate of the next Wizard King. Helping him visiting his hometown in his earlier day will establish a strong connection when he ranked up in the future.

At some point I swear I'll stop bitching about the abysmal pacing, I promise, but half a chapter. HALF a chapter is what was adapted in this episode.

Anyway, we finally got the reveal of the old lady being the Wizard King in disguise (which should have been put at the end of the previous episode imo) after Asta and Bah-ha took down the thief. He seems like an interesting fellow.

The filler focusing on Yuno and a couple other Golden Dawn members escorting some dude back home was ok I guess. I mean, at least we got to see Yuno again after quite a bit of time away from him. Looks like the people that attacked them are going to return since the dark clouds appeared again at the end. Unfortunately that puts the church in danger.

I never said anything about development. I'm talking about establishing the characters and their personality. The manga never did that for Golden dawn which is why Klaus's sudden flip in personality was jarring in the dungeon arc. Instead of letting us get to know the characters, the manga suddenly introduced them just for the sake of fights or whatever like that arc where the author introduced characters from the Light Novel expecting manga readers to already know them.

Didn't find it that jarring considering the circumstances and the personality we learn from him later.

The only thing jarring, and confusing, is how the sister is still employed. If her first instinct is to use her water fist spell on people who gets within their bubble, regardless of age or social standing, that's not only questionable but an arrestable offense. I get that because it's filler they don't have much room to play with, and it's supposed to be "comedic", but that's still going rather far. And I know I'm not the only one who's brought that up.

They literally adapted half a chapter and padded over half the episode with filler which I mostly just skimmed through due to lack of interest.
Pierrot certainly is going full force with this adaptation but not in the right direction. :(

Well now i'm out, it's just too much for me. In the first place the manga was just typical shounen with good moments and fast progression/pacing. And this adaptation is just doing complete opposite and can't say anything rather than awful ... Mb if i didn't read it before i would've had another opinion. I'll just stick with the manga.

It took 2 episodes to cover 1 chapter and looks like next episode is complete filler . We should already be starting the dungeon arc! That's when things start getting good but nooooo.... more and more filler! I'll say this again just go read the manga if you don't really like reading don't worry black clover is easy to read pretty enjoyable and not to complicated plots pretty straightforward chapters aren't that long took me like a week to binge.

Looks like Curly here hasn't been able to much for his squad yet compared to Asta and Noelle. But such a brazen thief to appear in front of the magic knights though. Hmm that was merely temp paralysis huh. Sekke really overreacted there though lol. To think that the wizard king was actually that old woman though. But its nice that he's making the effort to see new magic and meet the new recruits though. So Yuno's first mission is an escort detail huh. But to think that the person that they are protecting was Yuno's opponent during the exam though. Its nice that Mimosa is earnest though. The attackers though were crafty using a cloud to hide themselves until the last moment. But Yuno did well to repel them before they got within range of the carriage. To think that they ended up visiting the village though.

I guess this means that Magna is not the only that using "lame" magical ride huh? Even Mr. Bah-ha... I mean Sekke is using one.
Oh well, since the episode is focusing about Yuno, I wonder what he wrote about his colleagues in his letter for Sister. xD
