| Sentai announced their Home Video releases for August. I don't think any of the dubs are new. Only one release is subtitled only: Re-Kan complete collection. Crunchyroll also has some releases for August. So now that Our Last Crusade is back up, I have to ask. has that ever happened before where a studio has dropped the ball so hard they had to presumably start from scratch?
| @6001hulls I remember two cases such as these: A3! which postponed episodes after airing 3 episodes. It returned after 3 months and restarted broadcast from ep 1. Second one is God Eater, which ran upto 8 episodes and then indefinitely postponed. It returned after 9 months. |

That's just how it's gonna be, unless Crunchyroll and/or Toei decides it's worth it to switch to simuldubs.

| @anime-prime A 3rd one?! If so, just don't use EITHER current voice for the fat kid, or the newer voice for Ran's dad. Just terrible for the characters. The 2nd dub is obviously much better overall, but specific characters like Ran and her dad sounded better in the old bad dub. Lol |

I notice the news article says only 'specially curated' eps from the franchise showcasing the best moments will be dubbed, so guessing they aren't redubbing the entire thing, or starting the dub over from the beginning as covering over a thousand eps will take a while. |

| @23feanor The episodes being dubbed aren't specifically the best ones, but rather the main storyline episodes focusing on Conan vs the Black Organization (though they do also tend to be the better episodes in my opinion). I assume the way they are going to curate them will make it fine to watch while skipping the rest of the series. They are also dropping the Case Closed title and reverting to Detective Conan, so this is likely some kind of hail mary to get Conan popular in the west after a few failed attempts. If it by some miracle turns out to be a huge success, then perhaps they might consider dubbing a lot more of the series. |
