| The anime is damn faithful to the manga, Shaft animate each panel perfectly, you wont miss anything if you read from the current episode's chapter of the manga, but i recommend starting from the start so you can get used to the manga style, still either way is fine, as i said earlier, you won't miss anything from the story if you start reading from the episode's current manga chapter. it really depends on your liking. |
| I would also recommend reading from the start. The anime may give a different feel to certain scenes. It's also nice to get a recap. |
| The anime is a near 1:1 adaptation of the manga content-wise, Shaftisms aside. The only thing they really took out (as fat as I can recall) is a mini-flashback in Chapter 2 from Hayashida that pointed out that Rei did not want his pro shogi career being brought up amongst his classmates when he first re-entered schooling. So yes, you can start Chapter 66 right now and not have missed a thing. |
| totally depends on you but if its close enough to the original story i think go ahead! alot of great stories only get one season anyways~ |
