Predictions that Liz und ein Blauer Vogel will be about Mizore and Nozomi turned out to be correct.

It's doubtful, becouse it's KyoAni. They are even afraid of sexuality in heterosexual romance (even in Koe no Katachi), and here you are talking about a yuri. Especially in such a work, where yuri-bait appeared only in the adaptation.

Those who know about the content of the second new volume of Hibike! Euphonium that came out recently, they would already know that this is part of the direct sequel of the original story of the novel, albeit a bit of an extension to what will then be connected with the main story with Kumiko, Reina and Shuuichi in their second year (second new movie) with Taki-sensei continuing to be their instructor.

The story of this movie, as posted in the official website, also explains why Reina will have a significant part to play in the second new movie.

I am expecting a lot from the Koe no Katachi team. Cannot wait!

The PV looks good although the way it looks can be a bit of a tick-off. Then again, this is more of a sign that this is of course Yamada's style, at least from looking at it even.

In terms of the way it looks its actually interesting compared to what we're used to when it comes to Hibike Euphonium, of course the director is different so. You will expect this from that.

As pretty as KyoAni visuals are the Hibike train is running out of steam. Think there is only so many ways to make pretty high school girls having fun with music into interesting conception.

My god these comments are face-palm worthy. Lemme address the stupidity one by one:

@Hatsuyuki, That's great, your point?

@bastek66, They were never predictions, we knew they were literally the same movie the day they released that first teaser poster. All you had to do was actually read the press release.

@RobertBobert, Oh by, how annoyed your comment made me. First of all, A Silent Voice was never meant to be a romance, the people who express dissatisfaction because it didn't cater to their cliche expectations that it was going to be a generic romance between the two mains can't comprehend that a film can be about a boy and a girl without it being inherently romantic or sexual. He wanted to mend the mistakes he made, also trying to get into the girl's pants would have just been a downright slimy and gross direction for the film.

@DatRandomDude, Yeah, no shit. It's the same director and character designer. It's nice that one of the upcoming films is taking a fresh visual approach.

Anyway, the film looks great. Can't wait to see it.

Did we read the same manga? And no, a character blurting out a confession because she's confusing respect for love like a lot of teens have a tendency to do does not count. As single characters are not necessarily mouthpieces for the author or intent of the work.

Regardless even if you somehow disagree the film most definitely was not concerned with that at all.

@AnimEva Of course, there is no romance in the Voice. Ueno was never interested in MC, and in the end there was no conflict due to the fact that Shouko wanted to go away studying and they could not be together in the short term. Do not take any comment about KyoAni as an "insult to the master", it's funny.

Okama's razor is crying in this moment. Only one moment. No one told you that this makes the film bad :)

what, the manga ending literaly ended with romantic tone (tho neither confession or official going out)... the whole making movie ruckus also because romantic reason... that black haired bitch was there also because romantic reason... sure romance is not main theme and delivered more subtle, but it is there.... sure it resolved kinda open ending in the manga, but male MC already admit it (it's hard to tell about main female already has romantic interest or not, but it is also there)... sure i get the movie had limited time so it can't developed that way... but at this point, you are outstright denial saying koe no katachi isn't mean to be romance...

There are elements of romance but the narrative is not concerned with portraying a love story. I never said there weren't elements in there. Perhaps that could be a story between the characters in the future but it's not the story Yoshitoki Oimo or Naoko Yamada were specifically interested in focusing on. It's at its heart a tale of redemption, friendship and learning to love oneself. The people who try to boil stories like this down to cheap Lifetime melodramas and cry salty tears over their being no cliche kiss scene to top it all off are mostly hormonal and angsty teens with very narrow views of life and relationships. If the main thing one took away from this story (manga or film) was "b-but why didn't they kiss!?!? >:(" and not any of the far more affecting themes and messages then those are some sad priorities.

what? again, i am more pissed with koe no katachi romance than pleased with it... the whole drama with black haired girlis fucking useless.... that double faced bitch romance doesn't even explainable... i put koe no katachi movie higher than the series because same reason... they rid the romance (but TBF, the whole making movie saga).... but saying koe no katachi manga is not romance simply there is no romantic relationship estabilished, simply beyond denial...

@Kuma, Again, I never said there weren't elements of romance, just that it wasn't the main focus or theme of the story. It certainly wasn't either of the MC's main concerns. Either stop twisting my words or just read what I'm actually saying.

Its present as a background element in both. The film eases up on it in some areas which strengthens the narrative as a whole due to a more honed focus on the main thematic heft.
