 At a press conference held at the Toho headquarter in Tokyo on Wednesday, an anime film by director Mamoru Hosoda (Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki) titled Mirai no Mirai (Mirai from the Future) was announced. The film is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on July 20, 2018.Synopsis The film centers on Kun-chan, a spoiled four-year-old boy in a small house in a corner of a certain city. When his little sister Mirai is born, he feels that his little sister has deprived him of their parents' affection, and is overwhelmed by a series of first experiences. Amidst his new life, he meets an older version of his little sister Mirai, who has come from the future. This takes the cake as the most pompous and idiotic comment on this thread. Congratulations. Also, what's with the "meh" feelings on TGWLTT? It's legit one of his best films. Now Boy and the Beast, that I can understand being underwhelmed by. I enjoyed it, but it felt messier and less strongly put together than his previous works. I really hope Mirai can live up to the quality bar he set with Wolf Children and Summer Wars. |
