As for anime soundtracks, I would always choose Hiroyuki Sawano's works, but there are many others whose music I also enjoy hearing like these ones. |

| I loved some of the Brigandine PS1 soundtracks and still listened to them sparringly. And some of the Friday the 13th the Game Jason's soundtracks sounds very good. Though Ori the Blind Forest Soundtrack is still the best for me. |

| Practically every song from the Pokemon HG/SS games, not only are they good songs, but they are also super nostalgic for me so I love them <3 Anime wise I would have to say the NGNL and Made in Abyss OSTs though. |

| Nier: Automata possibly due to recency bias, but it's a standout OST regardless. Every song is excellent and it's pretty hard not to pay attention to it, unlike a lot of OSTs. |

| GAMES *Sonic franchise (almost all Sonic games have an awesome soundtrack, i give my best shots to Sonic CD, Sonic Mania and Sonic Generations) *Mario Galaxy 1/2 (i loved the orchestrated musics, don't know which one has the best soundtrack) *Pokemon games (they have the most nostalgic ones in my opinion, like Littleroot town) *Super Smash Bros (of course, for having a great set of tracks from all nintendo & other games and having good remixes and original musics too) *Undertale (almost the entire soundtrack is perfect, since the game was release in 2015 from now i still enjoy the musics and the remixes) ----------------------------------- ANIMES *Naruto the original (it gives me goosebumps the fighting ones, it perfectly fits the fight scenes and gives more emotion to it) *Hunter x Hunter (a good mix and selection os tracks and lyrics musics, the intros and endings are the best) *One Punch Man (same as Naruto) |

| Let's talk games for now. I don't want to talk about new stuff like Automata or Wild Hunt. Sure, they are great and all, but they are new and fresh, so I can't really call them my all-time favorites. Ok, some of my top keks: 1. Heroes of Might and Magic III. Paul Romero is a true master of his craft (and so is Rob King). His works put 90% of vidya gaemz soundtracks to shame. Oh, did I say vidya gaemz? Actually, his works put 90% of film scores to shame, especially Hollywood or Hollywood-ish braindead crap, that have no dynamics, nuances and intellect whatsoever. While all his scores for HoMMs are brilliant (IV is especially unique with the operatic approach), the third iteration is my favourite. His music is so colorful and rich in detais, like a miniature self-contained world, that it draws me in every time. 2. TES III: Morrowind. Soule is a genius. Well, mkay, he was a genius. I enjoy clear melodicism and powerful motifs that give Morrowind's OST such a strong sense of direction. Sadly, all his latter works for TES IV and V are much, I'd say, muddier, muffled and unfocused, also with a lot of rehashed and re-used material. 3. Homeworld 1 & 2. What Paul Ruskay did here is nothing short of legendary - he brought Arabic/Middle East motifs to the space opera setting of the series and blended it with electronic sounds and orchestral vocabulary. Fuck, this guy NEEDS to be the composer for Villeneuve's "Dune" big screen adaptation...OR RIOT!!!111!!!!!!11111 4. EVE Online. Sims and arcades, real-time and turn-based, tactics and strategies, old and new, singleplayer and multiplayer, including MMOs. For some reason, space games draw a lot of talented composers - Freelancer, X series, Strike Suite Zero...the list goes on forever. EVE is no different. When I've heard the theme for it's first major expansion, I got shivers. Even with crappy samples, bad production and low original source bitrate, it still perfectly captures the game's cold, ruthless yet enticing world with unlimited jaw-dropping possibilities and many thrilling dangers. As a whole, the EVE OST isn't as grand and dramatic as the expansions' main themes - it has quite a lot of calm ambienty tracks that tell stories of everyday routines and little adventures, or dark, but subtle pieces. 5. Dark Souls 3. The most varied and diverse Souls game OST in my opinion, featuring all the great minds behind Soulsborne's franchise soundtracks. 6. Transistor. I don't always cri evritim, but when I do, I prefer to cri evrytim over this. 7. The Neverhood. This is a reflection of the game's bizarre and absurd world in music form. This is fucking brilliant comedy in music form. And finally, this is simply fucking brilliant music. This will always be brilliant, even after heat death of the Universe. |
