| i didnt even watch season 2 yet since i am on the middle half of Season 1 , i always avoid rpg theme like story in past few years knowing how generic sao was despite having it actually "completed" on my list , all i did was skim every single sec to know how the story goes and i found it kinda lackings in every aspect on fantasy. Then Log Horizon finally settle up my list to currently watching after trying to finish multiple series during my hollow year around 2014-2015 of anime. It was astounding story telling, its not something you see in a isekai fantasy mmo settings. They actually explain how the world works, politically, economy, abit of action , building up character in 1st season. So i thought maybe i could check out the 2nd one i remember ist in line between 8 perhaps under the same studio? Nope its fucking Studio deen idk why it felt like the animation was cut alot of budget, i felt like faces of the characters terrible misaligned, inconsistent animation unlike the 1st. I skim the whole 25 episode i found it kinda bland on some arc. Maybe someone mentioned it the kids arc , but i couldnt help it why would they add filler? Its not a bad thing but its not long running shounen, things i found out was they cover a few volumes into 24 episodes. idk how many but god its should be adapted maybe somewhere 2 years after the first adaptation due the lackings of source material. At finest a single cour could adapt 4 volumes at once 3 volumes at slowest pacing but it could be lesser depends on source thickness but no one liked very slow pacing either. So their mistake was not only budget allocation that cause terrible animation and art, but also too quick to adapt an anime that has 24 episodes. I gave like 10 on the first season due pleasing suprise, but the 2nd one? i felt like giving 8.5 at best prob 7 or even lower... Checked out the thread that ask a 3rd season maybe its the best time since it could adapt multiple volumes at once but maybe they're waiting on something. |
