| I envy people who can turn parts of their brain off, and focus only on one or two particular things. I can't do that, so I usually notice things like plot, art quality, and characterization—even in porn. This wasn't an issue when hentai had actual plots. Take Choujin Densetsu Urotsukidouji for example. It was basically tentacle porn, but it also had a very involved story and characters. | When I search for new hentai manga, one of the first tags I generally look for is 'story arc'. While the plot itself doesn't hold too much of an importance, having a full tank focus on one story and not a tank that's a full one shot compilation is always nice. Some of my favorite hentai manga are full story such as Pandra series (+ 2nd Saga and 3rd Ignition) which has 6+ volumes total and Brandish which has 6 volumes as well. I would do this for anime too but the anime side of hentai is rather weak when it comes to story these days. You won't get another La Blue Girl, Bible Black or Words Worth. Well at least we still have some that are lengthy with something of a plot like Majuu Jouka Shoujo Utea. |
