| Hype. I hope this doesn't mean another manga hiatus, though... Anyway, looks like it will still take a while. I wonder how they will handle the manga. We know Tsukushi worked very closely with the prodution of the anime to the extent that he joked about being overworked by their high standards. I wonder if they will just get him to do everything with the anime staff and then continue with the manga. Otherwise it should take a year or so to still. The author has also said that he was feeling pressure to work harder so that the anime could continue sooner (before he knew that it was confirmed), so I hope we can get manga chapters faster and a new season in 8-ish months. Yet another possibility some are hoping for is for an OVA/movie (awful, since it would make an actual season 2 later on much less likely). It's also possible we get a bit of original content. I'm no fan of episode 9 but the upcoming arc has plenty of space for some things to be developed and cleared up. And as someone said on Reddit, we could get a whole episode of Nanachi frolicking over pretty background art and it would be a 10/10. |
| Best anime in years getting a sequel, fantastic news! I went ahead and read all the manga already but that has only hyped me more. Second season would solidify this as an all time classic. Seriously people are going to freak out at some parts. CANT WAIT! Mod Edit: Removed quote of deleted post. |

| Rayzer is becoming the most hated guy on MAL, but seriously tho, i want Barakamon S2 too but im losing hope but im glad Made in Abyss got a sequel. Barakamon manga sales are great even without a anime so i can understand why there's no S2. |

| It would have been more surprising if they had decided to not continue the anime with how well it's currently doing, but it's still always reassuring to have an official confirmation that it's going to happen. Considering the show started right around the time the author finished enough content to make a second season though, the time between S2 and S3 is probably going to be a lot longer than the time between S1 and S2, which is going to suck. |

| Super excited for either s2 or an Ova/movie. Made in Abyss is one of those anime that really deserves to be adapted fully because of how good it is. |
