| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Kuro in a nutshell... He still need to improve a lot more if he wants to beat Karin. I have to admit, the episode was awkward with Kuro dressing up like a girl. A complete blonde hair wig to go with it. Not to mention, they even got a on date lol. I'm not surprised that Touta didn't notice because of how dense he is.  |

| Hmmm. I have mixed feelings so far. I just read the 11 Volume of the Manga and so far i felt the story was very rushed. But now it seems like they are mixing up the events from the manga in a different order. Just dont want to be spoiled by the anime about future manga volumes^^! |

| It's intriguing how Kuroumaru's non-binary-ness is being handled. He identifies as a male; he physically (or physiologically) appears female; and, in accordance with Yata no Karasu clan tradition, will settle on a gender for his 16th birthday. Kuroumaru's feelings for Touta are pretty obvious at this point. Karin wants him to choose to be female so that—for personal reasons—Kuroumaru can become a pair with Touta. Ikkuu comes up with the clever idea of having Kuroumaru dress as a girl, and go on a date with Touta to verify his feelings. They're ambushed, and Kuroumaru has to use the strength of his male body to save them (perhaps because his female form hasn't received as much training). In the end, the question as to which gender Kuroumaru will ultimately choose is still open. That was fun. 5/5 |

Also, with the way anime remixes stuff, you can't really be spoiled much of manga by anime. | Akamatsu's horrible anime adaptation curse was never disappointing me. Rushed but okay-ish episode, that's it. I really have no idea what should I said about this anime anymore after watching this episode other than "WTF" and "Fuck Akamatsu and the anime staff teams". |

The manga made a little more sense on this part. In the manga, Kuromaru's feelings towards Tota are gradually causing his/her body to become more feminine. During their date, it gets to the point where Kuromaru is about to become a full girl when they are attacked (so Kuromaru actually IS trying to fight in a girl's body but finds that he/she has lost physical strength). |

 Keeping true to Akamatsu's style of delivering important technicalities in context and background, without needing verbose explanation.  Classic. With Kirie doing her mounds, we're in for the serious shit pretty quick. @NPSao Are you sure it was physically weaker, and not just the idea of femininity being seen as weakness? ie becoming more sub and emotional as opposed to someone who can stand proud beside? It's been a while since i read that part of the manga. It sounded more like lack of confidence to me. |

| I don’t get how he can switch organs and hair color so easily. Like hes editing his body at the DNA level somehow and relying on his regeneration to replace the old cells? If that’s the case he hair would have to grow out to change color. Magic hair dye? At any rate, why doesn’t he grow an eye on the back of his head, or an extra arm or bigger muscles to fight with. |

I've always known that Kuromaru is a girl, I mean it's pretty evident from the get-go. Lmao. Pretty much everyone can tell he/she has feelings for Touta. Haha. Karin and that other UQ Holder helped her to transform into a girl and oh god she's so beautiful when she's blonde. <3 Though, I still prefer her black hair. :) "What are you saying, Kuryu-san? You're super cute." Pffffft. MY PRECIOUS KUROMARU IS SO IN LOVE. D'AWW. Hahaha. <3 They were attacked, but Kuro saves the day. So, he/she'll stay as a male then? | a bit dissapointed they skipped Karin x Kuroumaru "big secret" in episode 4 last month.. But yeah.. I am impressed they could merge at least 3 chapters in 3 different volume (12 / 31 / 101 with 3 chapters in volume 10 as a core) perfectly in this episode.. which finally eksposed about Kuroumaru's gender.. :) Kuroumaru is my fav character.. and This episode is awesome.. 5/5 |
| Good episode. I really liked it and blond Kuro looks cute Some people here are hating it because of the adaption. Who cares ? As anime only watcher I'm enjoying this anime. You don't need a proper adaptation to enjoy an anime. |

That may be true, but ONLY if the filler story was enjoyable, plots being good enough and didn't have some dumb, rushing and confusing moments (Which is exactly the MAIN problem about this anime and 95% of Akamatsu's anime adaptation is). Though this episode is INDEED based on the manga chapters...... in a mixed and rushed way. The manga of this part is suddenly came up AFTER Kuromaru's body started to become more feminine, but the anime shows this earlier when he is STILL claim he want to be a guy in the previous episodes WITHOUT even developing his feeling towards Touta (They did in the previous episodes but not that much tho). Not to mention Kirie (The blonde hair girl with glasses who appeared a few time in this episode) is the one who tell Kuromaru to crossdress as a girl instead of Ikku and Karin in the manga (And also the combining 3 chapters from around 30-ish and 100-ish chapters into one episode which feel a bit out of place to me). |

| In the original manga, it was Kirie who encouraged Kuroumaru to wear a dress and go on a date with Touta under the disguise. Also, uh is Santa going to show up in the anime? On the cast list, his name is not listed at all. |

It is not a synonym for "realistic" or "possible." That being said, I would argue against him that those questions have perfectly valid explanations implied. Kuroumaru's body is "enchanted" by magic to change into whichever gender he feels he identifies with. It's not something that he has conscious control over beyond identifying with a gender, and it's not like the spell itself has a mind and agenda to do anything besides the effects that have already been defined. It's like asking a computer program why it doesn't just do something else with it's resources. It simply isn't made to. |

| so Kuromaru are that type of immortal. also what kind of immortal that Ikku guy. he's like the guy from Inuyashiki, can transform into a machine or something like that. I was wondering how on earth those hunters walk to the tower while holding those gigantic sword all the time. I'm pretty sure the security wouldn't let them walk freely. seeing Kirie is like looking at Oshino Shinobu cosplaying loli Hanekawa Tsubasa. is she also a vampire? |
| Kuromaru is a bisexual’s dream come true! It would be soooo great if he/she could literally alternate between both sexes! So, everyday I can choose girl or boy...I’m salivating at this idea. |
