I started reading the web comic. but the last time the site was updated was 8 months ago. Has he not uploaded anything more since then or is the website dead?

That site is accurate. The author ONE hasn't updated it for almost a year. It was probably because he's been focused on drawing Mob Psycho 100, as well as providing the manga illustrator Murata with storyboards for the manga original scenes that were never in the webcomic.

ONE should get back to it once he finishes Mob Psycho 100 and once the OPM manga gets back to the main webcomic story. He'll basically have nothing left to work on except the webcomic.
