Cannot stand Chinatsu. She needs a good smack across the face for acting like such a little shit. No wonder she's never been able to get a partner given her garbage personality. Tatara needs to man up too, though his scene with Shizuku was nice. Even though she's kind of taken a back seat this arc, she's still a very important person for Tatara. Can't wait until they pair up again since it's being strongly hinted.

The more the two fight the worse it gets. But there's some development here with the help of Coach Marisa, Kyoharu, Gaju, Mako & Shizuku!
Most of the episode is chaos between Tatara & Chinatsu!
Mako so adorable this episode!
Fujita should be happy because he got to train with Shizuku just for a short moment!
5/5.

i enjoyed the manga

but i don't know how because now i watch the anime which seems to be rather faithful and i all i can think is how shit all the characters are lol

the animation is dogshit at times too and shows a lot of budget saving
the official MAL hall of fame/cursed comments is now open for business - you are welcome to PM me any potential quotes to include

This arc is probably my favourite so far. Watching all the characters interact and bounce of each other is a lot of fun. I think this show is at its best when it mixes in little slice of life moments with the dancing. The serious competition arcs (i.e. the majority of the show) are fine but its more interesting watching how the character relationships develop in a laid back setting. Not to say that I want the slice of life moments to overtake the dancing, but a better balance of both would be welcome. Definitely want more arcs like this.

nah at this point of the manga, its obvious that his obsession with Shizuku is more about admiration with respect rather than romance and I doubt the anime will have a different ship ending (if they ever decided to make a ship happens anyways).

as much as people bitching about Chinatsu, they both actually in quite a healty relationship, they know how lacking they are yet they still trying their best and move forwards to improve themselves this is a good kind of pairing that I wish I would see more in other series.

As a manga reader it's a bit frustrating to see how Tatara is being eliminated as a person (as it's in the manga) to reduce everything to a kind of pseudo-romance that doesn't exist in the first place, speaking of those who support Fujita and Chinatsu as a couple, of course, who are obviously the staff's favorites.

I don't understand the need to delete and/or modify the scenes of and with Shizuku (yes, they did before too) when in fact they are an important part of Tatara and his "development" as a character throughout the story. She's an emotional support as Sengoku is for Tatara, only that this has the sympathy of many of the writers while the first apparently not.

The differences between the anime and manga are enormous at the level of dialogue and representation.

(Meeting of Tatara and Shizuku in the manga).

Just enough to see the panels to realize the intention and the impact of the moment, at least for Tatara. And later also has an explanation, which was completely ignored to continue stagnating with Chinatsu.

(Conversation between Tatara and Shizuku).

There are scenes that really contribute more to Tatara as a character than any tantrum that Chinatsu does at the moment.

Apart from the fact that many other scenes of Kiyoharu have been thrown on the floor, very funny and that give a lot of charm to his character, like the infamous scene of him dancing the Cucaracha, which bothered many fangirls, eliminating the protagonist's development so suddenly it does feel him very empty, especially applying to Tatara, who is not a very interesting main character.

The people working behind this project are not so excited about doing this project.

Not really. Maybe you should read the manga again. He still has a crush on her. It was literally shown in the training camp arc right before the current arc began. And the first few pages of the very first chapter should tell you exactly who his endgame partner is going to be.

Hmm, I was reading comments and yes. I read the manga too, and like others, I was disappointed with the scenes that was left out. Shizuku indeed have her role for Tatara developing, but we can say the same thing for Chinatsu.I think that only she can make him "grow" to a good leader, because she's wild and push him hard. For the endgame partner I still can't see him with Shizuku and i doubt that will happen, but probably it's too soon for that. But for now, I'm 100% sure that Tatara and Chinatsu couple is the thing they need for themselves. /and they are cute together/

After bath scene, I seriously wondering why there still are not any doujins from this series. It's such a shame. Marisa-sensei is sooo hot. This woman deserve for a lot of doujins. Best milf in this year. Beside that it's seems that Chinatsu and Tatara will move forward - finally. It's starts somehow slightly bored and annoyed me.

Another intense episode from WTBallroom. The conversation between Mako and Chi about Mako's development definitely left me nostalgia about past memorial moments and some Tatara's fortunate times and also about how Sengoku was leading him at those critical moments... I am so desperate to see him leaving a good impression on his next whatever game he plays!

At least the thing that strings Fujita and Chinatsu together is how Chinatsu knows she's such a great big pain to deal with, but Fujita never gives up on her as his partner. It's really nice how they complement each other in that aspect :') Good luck to both of their progress.

They might end up like Sengoku and Hongo lmao. Always arguing and hitting each other, but dancing so well and fluid and the best in all of Japan together regardless ;P

LMAO the way Marisa just volunteers Hyodo to help fix Tatara and Chi's problem. I gotta admit, though, I think Hyodo could really help since he's so observant as a person and a dancer.

They really don't automatically mesh like Hyodo and Shizuku do. This is gonna take some time.
The closed eyes exercise seems good in theory but Chi can't trust Tatara and it makes it worse when her eyes are closed. She's also afraid of the sensation of being controlled or whatever Tatara experienced before.

aww Gaju's rubber duck uwu so cute

Well this took a turn to the classic rom com, tsundere and male protagonist trope... It's cute though. The way Marisa just asked from across the hot spring bathhouses and the way Chi is jealous lol and the outing omg literal filler episode material XD

I like the points Chi brings up because I meant to point them out as well. The way ballroom dancing is portrayed in this anime, male supremacy is highly apparent. I don't know if this is how it is in reality, but this anime makes it seem like, in ballroom dancing, the women aren't even competitors and are just there to make the couple complete. I don't like that aspect of the sport (if this representation of ball room dance holds any semblance to actual reality) and I like how this anime addresses it by having the female roles talk about it and for Tatara to notice it and try to dance so that it's more of a team effort than just the lead doing everything.

They can do it! Even though they bicker and fight, they are getting closer toe matching each other's rhythm.
oop and another time jump... I'm excited to see how they do!

The next episode is the one I've seen part of on accident so I know they dance well in one routine at least lol

I really liked the episode, and unlike many I like the relationship between Tatara and Chinatsu, even with the constant fights. Because although they are stressful, I think they represent very well how two completely different individuals are trying to understand each other. Also, in a certain way, I feel that their relationship is more of equals, where both want and seek the best of the other. Hopefully Tatara gains more confidence in himself, and Chinatsu learns to loose herself.

It was a nice episode, but I feel like the rhythm of the anime is going very fast. Everything feels very rushed compared to the first 13 chapters.
