| Eren is your typical Shinji-like MC. Levi as MC will be way to overkill. But it's 100% doable, the problem is that the series will be like, half long of what it currently is 'cause Levi is a practical dude that wastes no time in drama, lol. |

| It's pretty engaging, but the characters really drag the show down imo. Second season kind of improves on that, but there was some moments in the second season that dragged it down. Of course, I'm in the minority here. |

| Everyone feels that way after the first time they watch it. They would have been better off with about the first five or six episodes, then compressed the rest of first season with the second season for another six episodes. Then a movie about whats in the basement and what not that ties everything up. This is one of those anime where you cannot think critically about it without it falling apart. If you apply logic to anything they do, or how anything works, it doesn’t make sense. |

| For me, this show wouldn't make sense without Eren. They highlight how hopeless this world was thanks to Eren, because he is basically a shounen protagonist (wanting everything to be solved with just dertemination) on a seinen world (a more realistic world, where dertemination isn't going to solve your problems). Also, every horror and hopeless scene is made to build a feeling on the viewer of hate of the titans, and you can definitely say that Eren is the personification of this feeling. That's why he is the perfect character to be the protagonist of the show. If we have a "badass" character as MC, SNK probably would be just like any other battle show. And the reason why his character works so much is because of the perfection of the first 2 episodes. SNK is still the only anime that made me cry on the first episode. So without the show making you care about Eren losing his mom, nothing would have work on the future, but they managed to make you care so much about him on those episodes that it is impossible to not get invested on the rest of the anime. |
