This year's 47th issue of Shounen Sunday has announced that baseball manga Major 2nd will get a TV anime adaptation. The anime is slated for Spring 2018 via NHK ETV.

Major 2nd is a drawn by Takuya Mitsuda and began its serialization in March 2015 in Shounen Sunday magazine. The manga currently has 11 compiled volumes in print, with the latest published on October 18. The manga is a sequel of Major, which ran for 78 volumes between July 1994 and July 2010, and received six TV series, a movie, and three OVA episodes. Major 2nd centers on Daigo, son of Major's main character Gorou, and his baseball career.

I'm in the same boat. Guess I'll just have to take it one series at a time.

Jizzy as you would call yourself because youre a dick The most butthurt award goes to you And clearly you havent watched that many shows thats why you cant determine if a show is unique or not Or maybe you're just a child who likes common stuffs where hero saves the day and guys gets all the girls. Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Yo bit of an error in the writing of the article.

>The manga is a prequel of Major

>Major 2nd features Daigo, son of first work's main character Gorou.

The manga that features the main character of the original series son is a prequel of the original series.

m8 its a sequel

wasn't a fan of the pacing and repetitiveness of the first series. hopefully they make the second one more exciting and with more of a modern shounen feel.

After watching Cross Game I tried to move on to Major but gave up very early. At this point all I remember is boredom and that it didn't click at all. Unless it's possible to watch new anime without knowledge of the original series I doubt I'll go back to this franchise.

oh cool, I cleaned and typesetted a couple chapters for this manga, but never really read it myself
I was thinking of picking up the prequel anime series whenever I was in a sports anime mood and didn't just want to rewatch haikyuu!!

I had a feeling this was coming soon, there was an animated CM last year that promoted the manga.
