| Holy! This chapter was something else. EVA ost suited this chapter perfectly. I don't want Kaneki to stay in this form. It's horrifying. No idea where Ishida is going to take it from here. |

First of all, Kaneki's literally the face of the franchise like Lelouch in Code Geass. He's not going to be killed before the series reaches its conclusion. In addition to that, Ishida brought Scarecrow/Hide in this arc to stop Kaneki again like in the anteiku arc. Most of the arcs in :re are just parallel to the ones in the original TG. |

| That was disturbing and scary. It might have had no dialogue but it was perhaps more impactful this way. What the fuck. Is Kaneki killing innocent civilians.. Same, but the last chapter really brought me back to why I read. I recognise that its been getting mixed feedback but regardless of repetition, at least it felt like Tokyo Ghoul llRydonll said: I get the feeling that this manga is going to end with Kaneki dying but Touka and their child survives and lives on for Kaneki. All I have to say (aside from the fact that this chapter is very reminiscent of panels from "I am a Hero") is that a lot of people think that kaneki will die, kaneki and touka's child will be the next protagonist, hide/touka will come save kaneki, etc etc. Everyone knows that Ishida isn't quite that predictable. People thought they knew how the story would proceed with Furuta and then scarecrow appeared saying he was Hide. This shouldn't just be a simple solve where friendship brings Kaneki back. I'm fine with the idea of that, but we haven't seen anything of this magnitude before and I hope there's some kind of a twist on it that doesn't ultimately have to end in Kaneki's death |
