THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm, that was interesting. A talk about wars like the past with a Kage. The importance of the exams and also Boruto's involvement is also realized in this arc. I like how they are giving focus to the Hidden Mist village like this tbh. War has been declared! (by Kagura at least, that guy is bad news) |

I'm actually kinda liking this arc but one thing I do find odd is Boruto using/combining elements this early. |

I keep forgetting, and am finding it hard to believe, that Boruto is still an Academy student. I know he's supposed to be a prodigy and the opposite of how Naruto was when he was that age, but it's still crazy to see how advanced Boruto and some of his classmates already are. Anyway, the episode wasn't too bad as the final stretch of this arc gets set up. I really liked the fight scene between Shizuma and Boruto, it was short but the animation was pretty good there. We also got to briefly see Suigetsu again. Also, I didn't think Hachiya was still alive, I definitely thought Shizuma killed him last episode. Where the arc goes from here should be interesting. |

Really liking where all this is going. I like the focus on previously not really focused on characters, like Yagura, the Hoshigeki clan, and maybe even Mei and Chojuro next episode! Hoping Iwabe will be there too though, looking forward to some nice action scenes. DID NOT expect Suigetsu to show up, but I guess his interest in the swords was previously established in the war. |

Well what do you expect they are all descendats from great heroes of the past that are, naturally, training hard to be worthy of their parents. Besides, Boruto is also a chosen one, by this one Ootsutsuki (?) guy we see appearing in a vision during the Ghost Incident. Just as he likes to say, he will be Naruto v2.0, being able to do what his father could not. I must say I came to love him the instant I was introduced to him. He seems as arrogant as Naruto during his troubled childhood, but there is sheer heroism in him and when the need arises, he can insantly compose himself into a worthy son of the Seventh Hokage and do his best to dissolve the crisis as peacefully as it is possible. |

How the fuck Boruto knows all those different elements techniques. He is still in academy. Instead of all those crappy filler at least show some episodes in which he trained to perform those kind of techniques just like they used to do in Naruto. |

Yeah... I think I'm done. They've just thrown all the hard work in Naruto out the window and made this prodigy kindergarten student who has mad skills for no reason whatsoever. For some reason these 7 random people have access to the most valuable treasure/weapons of the village and can take them whenever they want to declare a war which is to be fought by exactly 7 people against the whole world. Good luck with that. I wanted to like this show after watching all of Naruto, the Boruto movie and reading the Boruto source material, but it's all over the place, lacking any sort of structure. They can hardly stand on water, but the next minute they have a life or death battle with elementally charged shuriken that he pulled out of nowhere... Ah well, one less weekly show to follow. |

So these fake 7 swordsman of the mist want to start a revolution? Honestly, if some of the stronger characters in the narutoverse were to get a wind of this, these guys would be cut down in seconds. xD The scene with Boruto falling into the water reminded me a lot of Naruto falling into the water in Shippuden OP 8. I don't think I understood Kagura's reasoning behind joining the Kisame-like dude. If he tried, he could easily resist them. |

It was never established that that did anything beyond him seeing some dark chakra while it was convenient. He has no idea how to use it or what it does, so it's doubtful that that would suddenly allow him to use high-level skills. The movie did establish that around the time of his Chuunin exam he's got a feeling for the Wind Style, which was already fairly extraordinary at his age, but who knows where the lightning came from all of a sudden. They've hardly learned to throw shurikens on target just a couple of episodes ago. |

The only real issue is how easily Boruto has acquired wind and lightning style. He was barely able to do a breeze to Iruka-sensei's hair right before the field trip. And now he's basically using lightning style out of nowhere, since we only saw him randomly do it with his eye that he can't even control. I do want to see fights similar to the forest arc of the chuunin exam next episode though. That would be great. |

Boruto lightning's use was very weak and is stream easily stopped. I know some are upset he seems to have powered up out of nowhere, but he's still an academy brat and his no match against even these 7 swordmen wannabe. The arc is interesting per se, showing how things go post war and post blood mist era. Let's see if Suigetsu is getting more involved than what we saw so far. |

@Zkarts They've just thrown all the hard work in Naruto out the window and made this prodigy kindergarten student who has mad skills for no reason whatsoever. It was already established since the begining that Boruto's story will be different from Naruto's. If they made him another clumsy ninja it would be Naruto all over again. No, they made him a prodigy, because Boruto's story is not about becoming stronger and renowned. For some reason these 7 random people have access to the most valuable treasure/weapons of the village and can take them whenever they want My ass, were you even paying attention? They have access to the weapons because Kagura received the key from the Kage. He even went there before when he picked his sword. They can hardly stand on water, but the next minute they have a life or death battle with elementally charged shuriken that he pulled out of nowhere What? "next minute"? The first time they trained to stand on water was back a episode 17. This is 9 episodes later, of course they already got the hang of it, specially Boruto. |

So Boruto is younger than Naruto was when he became gennin. Kakashi was very surprised by Naruto being able to create shadow clones during their "test". Now, Boruto is just an academy student, but can use TWO elements. It's a nice thing that in this new series the MC can use more kinds of jutsus, but can't they at least become genins first? In Naruto students had to make a single "normal" clone to finish the academy. I wonder what sick things kids will have to do to be able to pass their exam, if they're easily able to do so many things so early already. Anyways, I like this arc so far. That Boruto stream looked quite nice, even if ineffective, and a bit sudden. |

this is certainly put me in a bind, just like other said, genius not even enough to describe it, he before even a genin actually capable of 2 element, it's really surprising considering that sasuke which is also a genius actually reach 2 element use during chuunin exam. this series take genius to a whole new level, by the time he become a genin he'll be so amazing i am sure. and then, in chuunin exam, he'll cheat his way through, wait a minute? |

Really surprised to find out that the leader of those new 7 Mist Swordsmen is from Hoshigaki clan. In the preview for the next one he's wielding Samehada, really nice throwback. I wonder what's Suigetsu up to here. He could probably solo those fools if he'd go serious. in Shippuden he fought off Killer Bee in his 8 tails mode. Kagura's backstory with the leader guy was ok I guess. Looking forward to see what can they do honestly, looks like Chojuro will fight next episode as well. |

I am sorry if I am being extreme, but you really should try to focus not on the screen, but on the behind of it. Boruto was shown more than capable, while Naruto was lazy from the beginning and usually dozing off instead of training, Boruto has no problem with living up to expectancies because he is the son of an admired hero, which he is obivously trying to surpass. Him lunging at the multiple enemies without being able to surprise them would simply be stupid and reckless. He is reckless, but not stupid. There is more to what meets the eye with this series. The whole new generation got level'd up. Electricity? POWER OF THE COMPUTER REALM. Drawing beats? Now with colours. Shadow binding? It was also sick but I do not remember what new way of use the cool-mentor kid devised. The whole world has moved on, up on the scale. What I am trying to say, you really should not try to defame the series because of one failed surprise attack. Which is completely justified in my heart. The attack I mean. Also he has Ashura's essence in him. I can even come up with excuses even though I don't have to. |

The rebellious millenials still have not done anything beyond the law (except for taking the swords, which is Kagura's fault). If they are disarmed without any serious bloodshed they will be thrown into jail for some time and that's it. Though the setup seems to be of similar quality to a Shippuden filler arc, I'm looking forward to it. The Seven Swordsman of the Mist were blatantly underused in the main series, so it's good to see them get some play in Boruto. Also seems like Kagura is going to be built up as the Gaara of this generation, talented prodigy with a questionable lineage and troubled past, and I'm predicting will become Mizukage at a young age to mirror Gaara as well. |

Boruto Stream HNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGgg My interpretation of the Suigetsu scene is as follows Mitsuki: Look at this fucking lackey lurking in the mist Suigetsu: Shit, the kid is here, time to dip Mitsuki: Slipped away huh.....Not today bitch Me: Fuck Yes But wow, these guys ACTUALLY made that Shi-whatever his name is guy related to Kisame lol......I wonder what the relation is lol.....His other 6 goons looked alright but I find it hard to believe that they're THAT strong (Or smart for that matter) I'm expecting Suigetsu, Chojuro and Mitsuki to eventually blitz the fuck out of them but BoruGOAT and SaraGOAT better get great fights/W's against whoever they go up against And also, imma need to see a perfected Boruto stream sometime later in the anime AND in the manga, because that shit was fucking awesome Also, in regards to the pathetic weak willed descendant of Yagura.....This guy annoyed the fuck out of me in this episode and had me looking like -_- |

Besides, Boruto is also a chosen one, by this one Ootsutsuki (?) guy we see appearing in a vision during the Ghost Incident. He seems as arrogant as Naruto during his troubled childhood, but there is sheer heroism in him and when the need arises, he can insantly compose himself into a worthy son of the Seventh Hokage and do his best to dissolve the crisis as peacefully as it is possible. To make it simple Naruto = beta Boruto = alpha |

I would have prefered if boruto fleed instead of being savedcby kagura & sarade. Another issue is that the series didn't show how boruto learned all this jew jutsu, botuto got stronger out ow nowhere. |

He is constantly training, you do not see some rigorous training on the screen because it goes without saying. You just have to look a little deeper into the screen... |

Don't know what but Boruto is surely missing something naruto had.I just can't love it like I loved Naruto.Every week I just start watching it thinking this episode will be better and after watching I jus think I'll drop it. I can't believe I'm saying it but I think I really will drop Boruto . Do you know hard it is for a hardcore Naruto fan like me ? |
The signature was removed as it was too awesome for mortals to live through. It has already destroyed 35 super computers . We have to make sure it is not used for serial killings and mass-murders.Please don't use words that can kill the mortals by it's awesomeness. |
