| This manga started 2 years before the movie, so is it an adaptation? Or did the same person (either a writer or a studio producer) think both as parallel things and had the manga made? Was one meant to promote the other like anime tends to work or was it a sincere attempt to make a new product? I can't find anything online about this stuff. |

| Thanks. I read a few chapters and from the get go it's a very different thing. Completely different to the Lady Snowblood adaptation that pretty much recreated the panels. |
