There are a compilation videos of the Matsu-siblings on YT (I particularly love Todomatsu's yelling, Miyu is genius!) and compare their screaming with Asta's and you can see the difference between funny and annoying screaming. |

| Every time I watch an episode I ask, why is he screaming all the time? I don't know if I can take 50 episodes of him screaming almost all of his lines, I have nothing against the VA but the character is getting a bit obnoxious. This went from something I really wanted to watch, so something I'm kind of really over. Pacing doesn't help the series either, but that is a different topic. |

| Not sure it's particularly the VA fault, because he sounds at the very least mediocre when not screaming. Who ever decided he should scream 90% of the time and prolong the last words in his sentences, id say they screwed up. First episode s screaming honestly gave me a headache. |

Ikr, what pisses me of is that the actor felt the need to stretch every word he says According to people it fit his personality but on some point it becomes too annoying and likewise the scretched voice really ring my ears. Not sure about other people but i think it is wise not to use 7.1 surround headset with big volume. Not going to lie i broke my right eardrum during grade school and it causes sound sensitivity that redirect to back brain. I tried the full screaming version on YouTube. I regret my choice lol. It felt like being punched on side except it hit your eardrums. |

| Really just differ from people to people. Some thinks its annoying, some doesn't mind or care; You think its annoying, doesn't mean everyone have the same opinion. Kinda like that all around. The problem literally same with Natsu(Fairy Tail) at that time where many people think his voice was loud also with the difference of Asta is wayyy louder, well everyone will get used to it as time past with those 50+ episodes.. |
| It's so hard to get through this anime BECAUSE of his voice. Okay, maybe not the voice itself, but the YELLING is obnoxious. Sure that's his character, but damn, tone it done somewhat. Definitely one of my least favorite voices for a character. |

| i don't mind the screaming that much but its that guttural sound every time he screams that makes me cringe!! im not enjoying the anime because of this, ugh, i wonder if they hate it in Japan too cause damn, that voice is terrible |

Gets on your nerves real quick. The VA is a noobie, but dang is his throat okay? I hope he gets more roles after this I mean when he isn't screaming his voice is pretty decent. I blame the voice director for this and not the VA himself. Hang in there bruh |

| Honestly though, people who rate this a 1 or drop this the moment they heard Asta's scream is beyond me. Y'all can just cover your ear everytime Asta screams (like me). Well he screams like 75% of the time at worst but yeah it worked for me, no big deal. When he is not screaming, his voice is actually pretty pleasant imo. And I really liked his character more than other similar dumb and naive shounen protagonists (Luffy, Naruto, etc). |

| ^ Exactly the same. I dropped this anime and then saw it was being simuldubbed on Funi so gave it a shot. Holy shit. It's waaaaaaay more tolerable. Asta's voice is way less annoying and overall I can enjoy it. |

| 4 episodes in and I’m close to giving up. His yelling voice physically hurts my brain. I’ll try the suggestion of lowering the volume because I’ve heard good shit about the story and I don’t want to just drop it cold turkey. |
