Looks like this is the major climax between Playmaker and Akira.

They're pulling out their ace monsters against each other and it's quite a show. A lot of link summonings ths episode, nice. I think this episode goes to show how tough Akira is considering how far Playmaker had to play his cards in order to just survive.

Very good episode. The duel turns around a few times and neither Zaizen nor Yuusaku wants to lose. As I mentioned earlier, I haven't seen YGO for ages, but the duels in VRAINS are finally like they should be in a YGO-show. Also we get some first information on the Hanoi-Incident and shit is about to go down in the final Scene. Pretty curious, what is up with all the plans of this Dr.

So Yusaku wins this duel to no one's surprise. Ai was hilarious, I love how over confident he was with his acting, only for Yusaku to burst his bubble.

So Dr. Hanou was the master mind, I am kind of not surprised, but him being dead, that is a shock. I thought he was in a coma. I doubt he is dead for real, we will see.

So now next episode we have a little cool off and get ready for the next major battle.

This was a decent episode, Playmaker predictably won but Zaizen put up a lot better of the fight than a majority of the cast did and there was a lot of emotion and meaning to their actions so it was definitely one of the more interesting duels. The info dump at the end was quite surprising, but I'm guessing it'll lead into the next arc.

Twenty episodes really flew by pretty quickly.

Kogami is probably in a deep coma.

Okay so I was in my room while watching this and when everyone thought Playmaker had lost I just whispered "Sore wa dou kana?" under my breath and then Playmaker said it of course and I screamed "I KNEW IT!" and now my roommate is mad at me.

That aside, I REALLY liked this episode. What Playmaker said to Akira at the end was really cool and some level of character development for him.

And then THAT ENDING. Hoo boy.

That was really good duel, and him referring to Akira and Aoi as a hound and Angel was pretty touching for me.

That was pretty sweet by Playmaker, getting those monsters that represented the Zaizen siblings out of the graveyard and then explaining why he did it.

Dr. Kogami, ah so it's that guy who is with Revolver.

Looks like he his only being kept alive by that machine. Reminds me a bit of Noah Kaiba from the original series, he too was only able to live in a virtual world.

Now we just need to know why he wants to destroy link vrains.

It was an epic duel, I hoped Yusaku would lose for once but it was a cool comeback (aside from that new link monster ass pull of course).
I would've liked it more if Yusaku had to return those two monsters to Zaizen's hand instead of doing it for such a cheesy reason, but I guess the writers had a reason to give him a choice, so whatever.

This series sure enjoys long duels huh. We learned a lot though and Aoi has not been left out either, I loved it.

The old Dr being the bad guy wasn't surprising and then they add the twist that he's been dead for years. I'm looking forward to seeing all this unfold.
