| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Chapter 61 Big turnaround ! Nigi stupidly lost her only way to play a role in the upcoming final confrontation, probably in order to set up Saruta-Hiko as the sole fighter. Orochi's intervention was funny, the chapter ended in a great way with the cameraman reinforcing this good cliff-hanger situation (thanks to some mysterious power? nevermind, surely a joke). And then... Kakuriyo Monogatari End of the first part ?! What is this scam?? The french publisher advertised this series as a short completed manga before the first release ! Not as a thing the author gave up just like that! St Seiya ended before its final part and yet, it had a pretty good conclusion for those circumstances. Chapter's enjoyment: 4/5 The manga had this great Fujisaki mix of seriousness peppered with humour and inventive or flashy designs, and nice computer drawings. The story was clearly not something special but in the middle of the usual action adventure 's ingredients, it presented an interesting representation of the death/otherworld/etc thing and offered good occasions to play around known figures. But what's this "end"!! Score: 5.5+/10 PS: Orochi's design was indeed a good one. |

Dream_END said: ... Did they dropped it? Who? It doesn't seem to have been cancelled by the publisher/magazine: it ended on a "end of Part I" page. Just like Zetman did years ago. The problem is that I don't expect Fujisaki to resume it for a long time: he was hired in 2015 to adapt Gingaden (a ten volumes novel series plus multiple volumes spin-off) in manga. PS: was the manga published outside France? o_O edit @Dream_END : I see. There is nothing noteworthy on its dedicated webpage and the Gingaden manga is still being published (7th volume last month), so there is nothing to expect soon. Funny how the publication was concluded at the exact same time here and there. ^^ (another question: did this get the ugly Stray Souls title in your country too?) |

| I was referring to Fujisaki on whether he dropped this series or not, its been what? like 3 years without any news about the "part 2". Kinda sad that this doesnt get that much exposure. Any news/confirmation would be nice. To answer your PS, Yeah it does, it just got licensed / published by Elex Media (Indonesian publisher) like in February this year, the 8th book just came out like a week ago here. edit: @Rei366 yeah it does, its called "Stray Souls" here |
