So Adam is the big bad this season or at least this episode by the looks of it.
This guy is on a different level compared to the others tbh..

The action is solid with its stylistic soundtrack.
Heh, Hibiki really went all out to deliver some damage.

Adam's abilities really are something else.

So now, I present you the strongest last boss they will ever face.

When the god's power flew over to Hibiki, my first reaction was

Goddess Hibiki please take me with you.

+Adam was an Android
IS THAT A NIER:AUTOMATA REFERENCE?!

+Tiki turned into a Nova from Freezing...what a coincidence in divine weapons

+Hibiki absorbed the power of the Gods

Seems like Adam & Tiki are not the big bosses of the season...the final boss for this season is HIBIKI HERSELF! How are they gonna defeat Hibiki if it's always Hibiki who finishes the final bosses?!

Also...noticed this: The Opening for Symphogear XD Unlimited started playing near the end!!!

Maybe Season 5 will explore Gjallarhorn events (So we get Kanade & Serena back to live again)

Holy!! This episode was hella intense. Love how Hibiki teaming up with Saint Germain against Adam, better than Hibiki teaming up with Kirika in my opinion. Just look at their teamwork, no need for unison song, just plain old teamwork against mutual enemy.

Oh god the ending. Looks like either Hibiki will be consumed by the 'god' or the 'god' will be consumed by Hibiki. Hope for the latter though. Adam's priceless expression when the 'god' flew past him and into Hibiki. XD

Also, did I just heard Hibiki's 1st season song before she started singing her new song? Surprisingly, Unlimited Beat (XDU OP) is kinda fitting for this episode.

Can't wait for the next episode!!

Edit : I wonder if Hibiki will go to the moon as shown in the Op?

So Saint-Germain gets her cartridges from her shoulders. I don't find that very convenient compared to Chris. But whatever. Hibiki takes the front, Saint-Germain provides support. Simple teamwork right there. Someone said something about Hibiki's 2nd song being better than her first (of this season). I agree.

They finally covered some details that others may have missed. Gungnir being the God-Slayer weapon as some have already said. The plane that Kirika and Shirabe saved actually contained the last remaining documents that they needed for Hibiki to drill through the divine weapon. And the space shuttle pilot from the first episode of GX is the one that gave them the information! But oh oh, Daddy Kazanari isn't happy. Something is going to happen...

UNLIMITED BEAT! What a huge surprise! I thought this was going to be the finale episode, but no? There's more?! I think this is the first time that an insert song not sung by the characters is used in the anime that isn't in the final episode. Yes Nana Mizuki sung the song, but Tsubasa wasn't singing it. This can only mean that it's about to get even bigger...

Adam uses his arm as a sword! Satelight, you missed a perfect opportunity to bitch-slap Saint-Germain with it!

So if Adam is also a puppet, who was it that created him? Oh boy, this battle isn't over yet...

WHAT'S HAPPENING TO HIBIKI?! Is she absorbing a God's power? Or will she be corrupted by it and be controlled by the Divine Power to destroy Earth? If that is the case, then there's only one person who may be able to stand up to her...MIKU! Eternal Love Promise! ETERNAL LOVE PROMISE!!!

As a mythology geek this episode triggered me so fucking hard...

GUNGNIR IS THE SPEAR OF ODIN FOR FUCK SAKE, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HOLY SPEAR AKA LANCE OF LONGINUS.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

But seriously, even if they went with the original myth behind Gungnir it would still make sense for it to be able to kill a God, SINCE IT IS THE SPEAR OF A GOD. smh...

They kinda got it right with Igalima and Shul Shagana so why couldn't they keep things mythologically accurate with Gungnir? I'm so disappointed right now.

Also, did anyone notice that the subs for this episode are sloppy to say the least? Even with my basic understanding of japanese I could tell the subs didn't match the dialogue very well throughout the whole episode.

Good point. Actually, the Lance of Longinus was the first thing to come to mind when they were talking about the God-slayer. I guess you and I were just as shocked as Genjuro when it happened to be...GUNGNIR DATO? Who knows? Ya gotta love how they have Genjuro shouting out "Gungnir" every friggin season in this series at least once. Classic omage. But yeah, putting the Lance of Longinus and Gungnir together is like...a massive dafuq moment. To add to this.

Adam and Germi cannot understand how Bikki can harbor the power of the Gods, since every human has the original Sin inside, Human hearths aren't immaculate.

Which means Hibiki's souls is so pure that even the Gods accepted her as one of their own.

Well...we'll have to wait to see Hibikami.

If you watch carefully this episode,You can see some description about "why gungnir became god slayer weapon".
It's a document written by Nazi remnants in Val Verde.

I watched the episode very carefully and they clearly described the Lance of Longinus during that explanation about the "god slayer weapon" and not Gungnir, the spear of Odin, a god from norse mythology.

Oh? Well then. We'll have to wait for Zoid to translate the keywords for this episode...And oh yeah. What was it again? A "conceptual weapon." So even though it may not follow the original lore, because the people believed that that is what the weapon does, it is why it is made as a god-slayer. Longinus's spear did not have a name, so the people associated it with the most iconic spear in mythology: Gungnir. I see. So in other words, Lance of Longinus = Gungnir.

Thanks for pointing that out!

Yeah, but that's some major bullshit they invented so it would make sense why Gungnir is the god-slaying weapon. The thing is: they didin't need to pull any of this bullshit because the Gungnir is the weapon of a God, thus already having the power to slay deities.

The same applies to Tsubasa's Ame no Habakiri, a weapon that was wielded by Gods from japanese mythology, which by its mythos is also capable of slaying deities. Igalima and Shul Shagana would also fall into this category of deity-salying weapons since they're also related to Gods.

See where I'm going here? They didin't need to come up with some bullshit excuse and completely alter the legend of Gungnir because the existing mythos regarding the relics already make them more than capable of slaying Gods.

Also, that transcript makes no fucking sense. How did the Gungnir end up in the hands of Longinus? Longinus is NOT the name of the spear, it's the name of the roman soldier who stabbed Jesus in the cross. And it was only the Nazis and the people who decrypted the documents who knew about this fact so how did people start to connect Gungnir to the legend of Longinus??? THIS IS ALL A LOAD OF BULLSHIT.

TL;DR: There was no need to pull this crap, I'm completely pissed off and no amount of suspension of disbelief is gonna make me accept this bullshit.

Okay so
Divine power transformed Tiki into a Super Robot Wars final boss(I swear that thing escaped from one of the games)
aaand Hibiki just smashed her with god-slayer that to everyones surprise was(insert Genjuro shouting Gungnir here)

Sinbad is actually an android made by be the gods(atleast that's how I understood it). So I guess that kinda makes him an angel and he's basically rebelling against his creators.
Hmmm why does that sound so familiar...

Also Hibiki absorbed the Divine power somehow...
Eh screw it cue the music

A god's weapon does not necessarily have the power to slay other gods. Gods are supposed to be very hard to kill, and very few legends depict gods as personally slaying each other in any conventional manner.
I mean, Zeus's father (Chronos, I think) has eaten all of his divine children, but that did not kill them.

Just for curiosity. What would you think would happen if somehow there are still after effect on hibiki body in fusing with gungnir that stayed like god killing property is in her body then power of god infuses with her. Will she become a god class god killer or other mututation like gungnir brgins to infuse itself into her body again causing her body to brake and recreated over and over since those properties contraindicate each other thats why she in a cocoon

One thing to note is that Christianity was inspired by different mythologies.

Norse and Greek were both of those.

The Longinus lance and the Gungnir being one and the same doesn't surprise me.

Well, I don't know much about Sumerian mythology (Igalima and Shul Shagana) but in Norse (Gungnir and Ichaival) and Japanese mythology (Ame-no-Habakiri) Gods are pretty much mortal when it comes to battles against each other or other forces. All of the Norse Gods died on Ragnarok and Japanese deities pretty much killed each other all the time.

There will never be too much Hibiki in every episode. Except in GX, what's with her topdad and all. In AXZ though, she's literally a badass with many quotes to deliver.

Also, I don't think Hibiki is a Mary-sue kind of character. Well, maybe a little bit. But, she only wanted to talk to her opponents first, to know their objective, and see whether there's other way than sacrificing other people rather than just blindly following orders and fight them. She determined who can still be change, and who's not. I mean, look at Chris, and Dango girls. She changed them, helped them. She's also not perfect. In the past, she suffers a lot, being harassed by other people constantly, only manage to break through because of Miku. If it wasn't for Miku she would become like her alternate would in XDU. Not much Mary-Sue there. The only reason why she's the way she is right now, because she knows what it felts like to be shunned, to be hated, to have a terrible past in their life and only manage to break through because Miku lend her hand, her support to Hibiki. So Hibiki felt like she also wanted to lend a hand, to helped others just like how Miku helped her.

Hibiki is not much of a Mary-Sue kind of character. In fact none of the Sympho cast are Mary-Sue, including Miku.

I was wondering how we were at the final boss with 2 more episodes yet to go... Hibiki finall boss?

We haven't seen white/angelic symphogear yet this season, who knows. I'm still waiting for an excuse to gear-up Miku again. (doubt that though)

Also, I was thinking:
Somebody call Shinji. He missed one.
I think I'm too lazy for a gif this time.

While the episode is crazy and great. I don't understand how Adam could let those things happen. If it was Fine, she would continue attacking them, instead of momentarily pauses each time. I lol'd how Adam used his arms as like a sword though XD

No offense to Hibiki, but I'm getting sick of her getting new power and making stronger each time per new season. Seriously, I understand she is the main character as well as putting her silhouette on each title of the series.

But damn, this is too much. Not even the gang got any new powers, but she suddenly wielding a god slayer weapon? She was already the anti weapon for Fine and even beat Dr. Ver in G. This is some BS honestly.

At least, it looks like the gang will get their proper screen time this time around. Finally.

Last two episodes. Let's go!

So Adam is the big bad this season or at least this episode by the looks of it.
This guy is on a different level compared to the others tbh..

The action is solid with its stylistic soundtrack.
Heh, Hibiki really went all out to deliver some damage.

Tiki digivolved into Tiki Ultramon/Supreme King Zarc made me really like the last 2 episode of the show.

I knew Tachibana was the one with the god-slayer skill.

WAIT HOW DID THE HECK DID THE POWER OF GOD BE SOLVE INTO BIKKY'S BODY? I THOUGHT PEOPLE WITH NO ORIGINAL SIN HAVE TO OF HAD IT?

That was like the scene from Star Wars a force awakens when Kylo ren thinks the lightsaber is coming to him and then Rey gets it instead, same thing here but hibike makes a cocoon for herself and is probably gonna turn evil
