| I guess I would say the most underrated one is the most misunderstood one, at least if you count manga as well. Casca is a great character who gets a lot of sht from people unfortunately. |

| Underrated. Let me see. Soo Won (Akatsuki no Yona): He is fascinating. In the beginning he simply seemed to be an effeminate pretty face, then a villain but by now some things are for certain: (i) he is a better king than Il ever was (ii) he is very smart, moderate and considerate (iii) he puts the country before anything else, including himself...I am also pretty certain he is gay. I love him, he is just great. Grell Suttcliff (Kuro Shitsuji): Grell deserves more love. I love that nutty, cross-dressing psycho of a shinigami. Has the hots for dear Sebastian. Is utterly loco and so much fun. |
| Mitsuhashi Takashi from Kyou kara Ore wa!!! Is totally underrated. I think he is the greatest delinquent of all time. And I think Ed and Al from Fma are pretty overrated characters, for me at least they were nothing more than tools for the audience to observe the story through. |

| The most underrated character is Natsume Takashi (in my opinion). I honestly believe he had very great character development and I wish he and the anime (Natsume Yuujinchou) got more love and praise. |

| I'll be brief here since I'm super busy right now [!]POSSIBLE SPOILERS, BTW![!] Underrated - Karen Aijo (Revue Starlight) Karen isn't really my favorite character in that show. Hell, she's ranked as number 8 when it comes to ranking the main cast. But that doesn't really mean she's forgettable. She has incredible growth throughout the show and her chemistry with the main cast, especially Hikari, is just very endearing. She, alongside Hikari for that matter, also really helped me explore the visual structures and the narrative structures of the series. For the vast majority of Revstar, she really delivers some delicious packages on the way. Overrated - Shirou Emiya (Fate/Stay Night) Oh boy, now where do I begin with this? The Fate/Stay Night trilogy (be it anime or VN) has always been a series that doesn't impress me all that much with its one-dimensional characters and Shirou is no exception. While yes, his character is "complete" in terms of his overall appearance, at the same time, the writing put into him is also incomplete. The series took his characterization way too seriously that I don't know how I could even resonate with him. His dynamics with any character, while admittedly present, are also really bland. |
