| "It is far more difficult to build a new era, than to destroy an old one" - Okubo-San. -- Pretty faithful to the manga, the OST selection and animation in the duel was great. Nice to see Battousai in the "mood" again. After seeing Saitou take out his 2 goons at the end there I remembered why I liked him so much in the past again ^^. "Aku Soku Zan!" Also finally, the mention of Makoto Shishio's plot... so it begins. 5/5 |

| This episode was incredible. The fight between Kenshin and Saito was presented gorgeously. The moments thereafter had an incredibly captivating story. Oh, and that soundtrack! How could I forget the soundtrack?! The series is finally starting to actually take itself seriously instead of just being some action-packed fun time with swords and bad guys, like it was in the previous episodes. Let's hope it stays this way for a while. |

| Oh my fucking... wow. This episode was AMAZING. The fight between Kenshin and Saitou is positively THE most glorious moment of this series thus far, and it's perhaps a highlight of my entire anime-watchin' career. Oh my gosh that was amazing. Saitou trying to cut Kenshin's throat using his reverse blade sword against him was the highlight of the battle for me. I knew a time would come when having the blade facing himself would be used against him. Kenshin is unbelievably awesome in Battousai mode. Punching himself in the face to snap himself out of it was fantastic too. Kaoru needs to fuck up though. I couldn't handle much more of her whining at the beginning. Oh, and yes, the soundtrack is, indeed, amazing. It built up the drama of the episode flawlessly. |

I don't know what it is, but something about Kenshins voice getting more serious and his hair being released makes him 10x more badass in my eyes. |

| Awesome episodes... Kenshin's hair is beautiful. <3 I don't hate Kaoru, but she really shouldn't get between these things, that's not smart at all. And no crying for them to stop, only because it reminds me of a character I despise from a different series.. (coughcosmosonicxcough...) Funny how he punched himself to go back to rurouni mode. XD Or normal, whatever. |

| Yeah, that was definitely the best episode so far, even though I had the same questioning as Yahiko : who are these old men who suddenly appear?! It even look like they've thrown all their budget in that episode xD The action was surprisingly well animated. That's low to blackmail him into making a dirty job. On the hand, I feel like they have not much choices. I kinda laughed when the other dude said that Saito was their best secret agent. Yeah, he's probably their best ''secret-agent-not-so-secret''. Kaoru is evil! Why do she end on such a cliffhanger! What is happening the goddamn 14 may?! My guess is that the Shishio army will probably attack the Interior Ministery, hence raising tension in the capital. |

| Such a fantastic battle between Kenshin & Saito. Love the fast pacing & the way it's presented from different angles with the narrations from different beholders. That really added to the intensity. Kenshin looks so badass and cool when he's in Battousai mode. And he's so gorgeous with his hair down. I don't think Kaoru was annoying. She's too worried about Kenshin's safety. It's just the studio that shouldn't have showed too many of her scenes to break up the fight. Again, Rurouni Kenshin has (some of) the best OSTs~ Always my favorites! Hands down an 11/5 ep. |

| This episode was insanely good. Beautiful sequence, so tense!! Seeing Kenshin like that leaves me on the edge of my seat. Ever since Saito showed up this keeps getting better and better. If the whole series was this good I'd give it a straight 10/10, but the first season was mostly mediocre and I know its because we needed to get to know the characters. I'm just glad we're at the good part now. |

| Escape From Kyoto featuring Kenshin Himura as Battousai the Manslayer! Yeah, cool battle and a cool setup for the rest of this arc. I'm really amazed at how much this section is different from the first part. It's way more adult/serious with less dumb gags, it's less episodic, and the blood and gore is way more prominent too. So strange but very interesting. |

| this 23 mins were better than most movies i have ever watched. very nice battle sequence and storytelling and more depth to kenshin's and meiji's past. real classy episode. |

| Oh god, the last 3 episodes were amazing. Man I fucking love Saitou already, first acting out as a force of unpredictable evil to then turn into chaotic 'good'? He is definitely the key to any well-built tension, and man was I impressed. The animation and soundtracks are incredibly as well. I'm very pleased. |
