Pretty tense episode. The Empire is still pretty evident in making their next moves even at sea.

Really nice transition to see a battle taking place at sea, not to mention at nighttime too. Glalat is ruthless as I had anticipated. I have to admit, he is also quite skilled in swordsmanship as he is able to corner and outmatch Mahmut.

Glalat is definitely going to be someone else to watch out for.

Definetly one of the best episodes of Altair so far.
It's a lit one

Anyway, I really liked the Scenes where Imperial ship passes by the chains and part where Mahmut's galley rams her.

Yeah it was pretty intense with the lowering and raising of the Iron Chains.

I thought what were they going to do with just one ship managing to enter the city but they were only a distraction until the girl over there burned their shit.

That city gone man. It was kinda cringe how that guy at the end managed to untie himself and escape lol, everyone stood watching as they charged at em.

The lowering and raising of the Iron Chains was intense. The ships trying to charge through was just a distraction for the other forces to burn down the city. Glalat is quite skilled with the sword and is willing to do anything to save his country. Mahmut had a tough time fighting him. The Empire are ruthless people.

The empire have the upper hand at the moment. Seems like they will win this battle. That minister Louis guy is one hell of a strategist.

Seems like things will go dark from now.

Gotta admit that episode title "The Iron Chain" made me thought this episode might be another 'normal/usual' until we got to see some full blown action packed drama!
Whoops didn't expected that big haired guy had another motive and that senario definitely left me very shocked! So.. the 3000 years history changed with just those blazing fire!

Complicated series and having somewhat difficulty show(at least for me) to understand. But greatly enjoying it! (so far from this year)

Pretty thrilling episode.

While it seemed that Mahmut and the others had the upper hand, the empire stil has the advantage at the end of the day, good stuff.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Pretty awesome episode.

The imperial army was pretty crafty with their methods to infiltrate the land both through sea and over the cliffs.

Mahmut did try his best but unfortunately things don't look good.

Great action overall, especially the swordfights, that was really awesome.
This series has really picked up now.

I'm starting to enjoy this as much Arslan Senki or perhaps even more!

Mahmut vs. Glalat was pretty fun to watch. The latter's forces were rather crafty, serving as a distraction so the red-haired woman whose name is escaping me at the moment could burn down the city. Louis has also proved himself to be a smart, cunning individual.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

They don't want to kill them and was obviously shocked that they're that suicidal, that escape is justified imo

invading ship part was great. That trap(?) human calculator & reading the tail wind quite cool. Hairy mountain dude quite pro with the kukiri.
Was obvious just a single ship must be a distraction, but would've taken time to find the main force anyways.
Mahmut & that country aren't stupid, just complacently unprepared & outsmarted by Louis.

No electricity in this era. Gotta calculate everything manually! The writer knows his stuff. And the wind just had to work against them...

I gotta say, the fight animation and choreography was well done. Kiros did mention that they were up against an elite force, so Glalat had the upper hand against the inexperienced Mahmut. Clutch anchor save though.

I almost forgot about the group climbing the mountain on the other side. Looks like I was ambushed too. Reminds me of one of the tactics I used to do in Stronghold: Crusader. Send a group of heavily armored troops to the front to distract the archers so that the slaves can sneak in and set everything on fire!

A great and tense episode throughout!

Amazing how that guy did all the calculations so quickly!

I actually thought the Duchess wouldn't make it in time, but she did and wow things do look pretty bleak right now...

Attack from front with ships as distraction, then use the least-expected route to attack. Well thought, but an avoidable tragedy if they'd put their pride aside and thought out their defense carefully
