I've always been impressed by Escanor but this chapter really proved what he's capable of. A human stand tall against a demon in this case. Praise the sun! |

| Couldn't Merlin theoretically make Escanor infinitely OP? I mean she could do something to stop the rotation of the Earth so Escanor would always be in his peak high noon form. Escanor came through like..  |

| Escanor still had one last trick up his sleeve, and boy that shit did NOT disappoint. He one-shotted Meliodas after not being able to do much before that. Now the question is if Meliodas will stay down or if he has one last ace in the hole to take down Escanor for good. |

Escanor's been hyped as being stronger than the Meliodas (by Meliodas himself) since before he even showed up, and from how we've seen his power work from his introduction to this point, it's clear that his increase in power is exponential growth with bigger jumps the closer it gets to noon. For example he went from losing to Estarossa to snuffing out his darkness in a second as soon as it hit 30 minutes before noon. Escanor only had a chance in his ultimate form which only lasts a minute, it's not like he'd beat him outside of that. And we don't even know if Meliodas is fully knocked out or anything, he could get back up and be in prime position for a Revenge Counter. But even if Meliodas is only down for a moment, this is probably the opening Elizabeth needs to calm him down since it looks like she's about to do something. |

| Escanor really is a beast. I'm really hyped for the next chapter. I believe Meliodas will do a Revenge Counter, which makes me wonder if anything at all can wound Escanor at this point, even his own attacks. Elizabeth will most likely bring good Meliodas back now. |

| Two juggernauts taking it out on each other. Escanor is just too good man, I can't imagine Meliodas having a comeback. If Escanor really wanted to, he probably could have killed him in one hit, but held back. I mean even Mel himself said Escanor was stronger than him, so now we really understand how! They need to plan all their strikes around noon to take full advantage of Escanor's godliness! |
