It's happen more of when you criticize a 'series' as whole rather than criticize the anime. Most of time, from observation, people can't really bring themselves to express what they actually want, they want to criticize the anime but their argument didn't construct well and can be taken as a criticism toward the whole series. And people who use 'source is better' also didn't construct their argument well and can be taken as a defend toward anime rather than a defend to series. Source was better is not an argument to defend the anime but an argument to defend the series. It's the same matter of did not present your argument correctly as what you'd intended. If both party is actually willing to understand each other instead of trying to win and lose in argument, this type of mis-intend can be avoided. |
