Yeah, I do, and it's not like I'll wait to watch it, just like I didn't wait for LWA. But it's still a bummer, because it encourages pirating, and pirating is bad (even if I do pirate anime myself because I'm a hypocrite and an awful person).

I'm just going to laugh at all the people that aren't happy about this. Fansubs will come out in some way or another, the anime will be watched when it's airing. As a bonus, Netflix surely spent a lot of money to get the license, which makes me happy.

It encourages pirating because Netflix doesn't simulcast anime, so you either wait for it to come out when the dub is done or find illegal means to watch it.

It's kinda stupid and a lot more infuriating considering they do simulcast western shows. But apparently English is the only language for them.

Guess I have to pirate this like I do with kakeguri.Because waiting months after the show has finished just to watch it is unbearably stupid...

hahaha i feel bad for english-only speaker, their anime once again keep falling into casual corporate that don't give actual shit about anime or audience. i will be there in few years to witness the complete return of pre-crunchy fansubs

When you look at the anime section Netflix has currently is kinda obvious they dont give a shit about the community or taste. Other then pissing lots of people off why in the hell would they bother to pick this show up? Its just too classy for them, or the majority of their viewership.

they only get potential mainstream, most popular anime, typical corporate business move. so as long as ur not only watching the mainstream anime then you will be just fine in a mean time. but there is always possiblity they will grow bigger into getting even more niche anime, that's why i'm quite worried even though I don't actually give a crap about this violet evergarden anime.

Great. Now I will have to either avoid spoilers like crazy for 3 months or pirate it. I'm fine with Netflix getting some titles for themselves, but they should learn to simulcast outside of Japan first. Because that's the only thing they are lacking. At least they revealed the premiere date this early and it won't be as long as for their other titles (Six months for 13 episodes of LWA is a little too much, Netflix. And we still don't have a date for the second half of it.)

Nah, there are shitloads of normalfags on Netflix. Kuromukuro's producers admitted that deal with NF was very beneficial, and that was mecha show, which are hated/ignored these days by most of anime community.

Man, we're going back to the dark ages of anime. Fan subs are becoming alive thanks to services like Netflix. Next, we're gonna be renting VHS cassettes to watch anime.

Stuff like Sword Gai and A.I.C.O. are alright since they'll be on Netflix in Japan and overseas at the same time (hopefully), but Netflix wants us to wait an entire season for an anime we should be getting at the same time.

I hate Netflix so much for this..
I hope it'll look as good as it should be? LWA looks so blurry on Netflix sometimes, when I saw scenes used in YouTube videos, it looked much better
Your internet connection just sucks ass dude. Netflix automatically picks a video quality for you based on your internet connection (which kind of sucks because I sometimes want to drop down to 720p when I'm downloading something). I watched LWA on Netflix in 1080p and it looks crisp as hell. None of that blurry shit you're talking about.

If Netflix simulcasted their licensed shows they would be golden. I like that they entered the anime market because they're funding cool projects like Devilman Crybaby and all those other shows they announced. They give studios much more money than the regular production committees so they're doing a good thing, but not simulcasting anime outside of Japan for licensed shows is so backwards.

They really need to watch Gigguk's video on the matter, he really nails it. It's a very simple fix, I wish they would at least acknowledge that this is a complaint, but they haven't even done that!

Goodjob Netflix. Congratulations on shooting yourselves in the foot. I'll be pirating this then and not touching this show. I'll be buying the BDs themselves.
